This game is a timeless masterpiece and this is by far the best way to experience Fable 1. This version supports modern resolution and display types but unfortunately lacks controller support, worth noting as well that I actually ended up preferring playing the game and series as a whole with mouse and keyboard as my input method. Fable 1 was revolutionary for it's commitment to a binary morality system opting to evolve your player's character into a hero or an evil villain with a focused, perfectly paced, charming and engaging story that wraps up with a fantastic conclusion. This game is easily in my top 10 favorite games of all time and should be played by all due to how affordable and accessible it is, truly has a little something for everyone.

When I heard that nightdive was remastering this beloved classic my heart skipped a beat. This was the first Star Wars game I had ever played, so my expectations were high for this remaster, and I personally believe nightdive absolutely nailed this project. All of the re done spritework and cutscenes were handled with so much love and respect for the original game and it really shows throughout. Dark Forces as a game is not inherently difficult, more so has some more obtuse level design and puzzles to solve much like many of the doom clones it was grouped in with back in the 90's. It is a very simple shooter with very basic mechanics, and a very small pool of enemies to fight, but that never bothered me in the past nor does it bother me now. There is no deathmatch or alternative mode to play after you finish the story, and you will unlock all achievements in the game upon doing so. The only real issue I could see being a problem for most newcomers is the price tag, $30 is a bit steep for a remaster of an almost 30 year old game, however if you are looking for something to reignite that buried love for this franchise, that has been so poorly mismanaged since the mid 2010's, and want to experience one of the best stories in the entire game franchise, then I think it is an easy buy. My only wish after finishing multiple playthroughs of this remaster, is that nightdive continue onward and remaster Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight.
