Monster Hunter's gameplay loop is still very fun, if you enjoyed previous entries you will have a decent time with this newest addition to the franchise. I do feel the game is easier than World and Rise, I'd say it's a positive thing since I'm not that good at the game.

The game has optimisation problem. It loads assets slowly to the point that you might start a fight while the monster is still in it's origami form or a cutscene when the npcs are not fully loaded.

Story is terrible. While Monster Hunter has never been known for it's stellar story telling, I did not expect it to be so unbearable. The 'Fire place' plot was the worst. The characters are not interesting, the dialogues are soulless.

Being Monster Hunter and it's tendency to make novelties overpowered, this time is no different. I'm not a big fan of the Tracer Arrow and Hailstorm (woundbreaker) but these moves do so much damage that they are mandatory. Flying Swallow Shot is rather fun, you dash and press R to jump further and then shoot arrows at no additional stamina.

The game is fun despite being poorly optimised and feels more accessible for new players due to it's more relaxed difficulty. Most people playing Monster Hunter don't care about story but if you are a critical person and cannot tolerate horrible writing, just skip the cutscenes and hunt monsters.

Remember those farming games on social medias where all you can do is plant and click harvest once in a while?
The ones with little to no game progression aside from ridiculously tedious level to grind?

beautiful world with a lot of interactions.
the gameplay is fun if you chose the right weapon that suits you.
skill ceiling is high.
provides immersive feel, rpg element is adequate.
mods exist and are very helpful to combat the design flaw of the game.

UI is terrible with little to none customisation: keybinding is very limited; sending guild cards takes 17 buttons; hard to understand load outs system.
the so called 'end game' is gruesomely sad, grinding for RNG based jewels takes ages if youre unlucky. (modding fixes this)
updates are coming in glacial pace. at this rate we'd be waiting for an entire year to catch up with consoles if they aren't getting anymore updates.

in the end, a fun game to play.
