This game WAS excellent but Crytek destroyed it recently.
After around 2000 hours, i hightly recomand people to not buy this game actually. I won't deny it's a unique game and the beauty of the design (sound and graphics) but Crytek chose to kill it slowly:

- Event: There are a lot of events on the game. Actually, the vanilla game is now an event and you could not play the normal Hunt Showdown game for the last year. Death does not afraid people anymore cause you can get all your health back without even banish the boss. The new weather are terrrible and transform the bounty hunt into a massive hide and seek game with people waiting for you to make the first move. Oh they will move don't worry, but only when they will down one or two of your mates, that's what make them grow balls ;)

All those events made the community grow, which is a good thing, yes? Anakin, it's a good thing? Well no :)

Chinese player: I don't know why, but for the past 2 or 3 events, the european server started to be flood by chinese players. this community is by far the worst i ever encounter in a game, and i played League of Legend or R6S so... Why are they the worst community? Cause they will do or use anything they can to have an advantage on you, even if it's shameful or illegal. The EUW server is full of asian players who ping abuse, play with with crosshair overlay, derender or... cheat

Cheating: To be clear, i consider derendering, playing with high ping or with an overlay as cheats as much as litteral cheat. And there is a TONS of cheater on this game. Player will say "oh i played 129238794872348 hours of this game and i encountered only 1 cheater and a half lul" but let's be honest. Me and my friends are playing on high 5 stars and 6 stars and ffs we are getting wipe by players (essentially chinese of course) with less than 100 hours, who head shot us or do not miss a single shot. Of course those players do not have game sens and do not move by a inch and stay braindead/motionless on open field while knowing every time exactly where you are gonna pick ;) Some player do not even hide their cheat on their steam profiles and share the link to DL those hacks. Why are they not ban you wondering? Cause Crytek do nothing about them and even protect them :)

Community "management" of Crytek: Crytek know about the ping abuse and cheating of chinese players but prefer ignore it and create knew skins and bad weather conditions :) i said crytek protect cheater and it's true: a player can hide his stats, yeah. So if i wipe every servers and got 12132 kda, i can hide it so it will be difficult for people to know if their death was legit or not. You add the absence of replay or killcam (i don't want kill cam but replay of matches would be nice) and you can't absolutly be certain if the guy who HS you 200 meters away without scope thrue vegetation is legit or not ;) Multiple times on 6 stars mmr i got killed by people whom seems legit but when you spectate them, you can notice they play like a bot and when you go on their profile you can see they have less than 100 hours of game. I was even killed by a chinese with 20 hours ingame with crosshair overlay activated.
But when you say that to Crytek they ignore you and for them, it's totally normal that a player can hide his stats in game "for his privacy" megalul.

And when you ask them on their stream of "community manager" if they are going to do something about the chinese/russian ping abuse and cheating problem on their game... they ban you from the stream. Yeah i got banned from their stream for talking about this blatent problem ;)

If you do not trust me, just look the video of Huuge about the cheating problem in Hunt and miraculously you will see that according to his hundreds hours spectating people, the server with the most cheaters is.......asia! his video is a perfect exemple of what i talk about on this review so do not hesitate to look at it (i'm not paid by him btw)

Honorable mention: rats ==> every servers or community is concerned on this point. This game is full of rats that wait for you to move and play for them. They play annoying ammo and guns, those with a high rate of fire with bleeding ammo and ambush every where. When you kill one of their teammates? they will wait 40 minutes till you make noise or a mistake, some of them simply run and let their mates burning just to save their precious dolch dum dum ammo. Those players kill the few fun left of facing legit players and make you lose tons of times during games.

If after all of this you still want to buy a lot of skins to face cheaters on high elo or waste a lot of your time facing rats, then do not hesitate to buy this game! i'll personnally let my turn for the next months and next engine update.
