Combining the brainteasers of match three puzzles with the fine details and tinkering of an RPG-like character development system and the presentation of a classic medieval fantasy setting, this game surely has lots of offer (and I still have lots and lots more to experience)!

This game was fun back then when I only had the shareware version, and it's still fun even today. Packed with serious amount of additional content, as well. Cannot argue with classics, after all.

Usually I am not someone who jumps on the hype train of currently popular games, but this time I could not help but be curious about this one, hearing all sorts of things about it (being free certainly helped, and the cast of characters certainly catches the eye as well). As someone who is not exactly sharp in the genre, I wanted to know if the game can be fun for someone on a more casual level. And well, it works! The atmosphere and presentation is charming, the characters play and feel unique, the crossover aspect leads to hilarious situations, the fight is hectic but entertaining, and due to it being a team-focused game, I rarely felt myself getting completely out of it, even on a losing fight.
Yes, there is a monetization element to it, but it doesn't have too much of a negative impact. Most of it is for cosmetic elements, and while, yes, you can use Gleamium to unlock new characters, but between the rotation of free characters and the amount of gold the game gives, especially early on, there are always a number of options in the hands of the player (admittedly, having fewer characters in rotation than the number of archetypes is a minor inconvenience).
With more content on the way, I think this game has good potential to have a bright future.

Early Access Review
Do not let the modest visuals deceive you; this free deck builder game has a lot of content packed into it, with a wide variety of backgrounds and archetypes to choose from to create your character, multiple playstyles are supported, from more straightforward brute force strats to more elaborate synergy-based ones and even some more unusual, challenging ones as well. As someone who has little experience in this game genre, I wasn't sure about it at first, to be perfectly honest, but It clearly does things right if I ended up putting so many hours into it.

The updates are also good at giving you new tools to play with, which is much appreciated. I feel like there is a considerable amount of potential in this game, and I am eager to experience them.

A very barebones game, both in terms of presentation (one look at the map shows the absolute lack of effort put into it) and gameplay. There are a handful of good ideas, but they are buried deep under the boredom of how repetitive everything is.

I have really enjoyed the first two games in the series, for all the reckless fun they provided. After skipping the apparently not particularly great TDR 2000, I was curious about how the new game (well, technically it's an improved version of Reincarnation, but still) will be able to hold up to the standards the previous games hold up.

I can tell, it passed the test with flying colors. Taking obvious inspirations from the previous games, with many old favorites returning, it also managed to find its own unique flavor, too. The presentation is still top notch, just as expected from the series, with a more modern touch, of course. The gameplay style still works as before, with new elements such as being able to repair yourself after being wrecked (the AI seems to be tougher or your car more vulnerable to compensate, not sure which one is true), the upgrade system modified to be focused around finding upgrade tokens scattered all around the map (and being limited so you cannot max everything) and of course special races which add variety, without being obnoxious like some of Carmageddon 2's missions were.

What else can I say? If you enjoyed previous games in the series, chances are you will like this one, too!

As basically being a spinoff game, I did not have particularly high expectations of it, and it still managed to screw things up.

The story is nothing special, but it has a certain kind of charm in how it doesn't take itself seriously at all. The presentation is also fine, and I really enjoy the soundtrack. So what went wrong, exactly? The gameplay.
The idea of being this simple RPG where you can randomly collect character cards to use them in battle is fine by itself, even if it leaves your available options to a chance. As for the actual combat mechanisms, it's rather barebones, following a sort of rock-paper-scissors system, with the occasional special abilities. The game doesn't really tell you about your attacks regarding how powerful or accurate they are, which does not help things either.
But the worst part is how the difficulty ramps up. For the majority of the game, the fights are really simple, and you are in little threat of defeat outside some of the boss fights if you are being too reckless or underleveled. Then, during the endgame, the game goes crazy and throws in a particular opponent which avoids a majority of your attacks, something which was not a problem beforehand, while tearing through even high-leveled characters with ease. The game lampshading the need for grind does not make things any better.
So in the end, I wanted to like this game, but in this way, I just cannot. With a more balanced difficulty curve, it could have been a perfectly fine if simple RPG, but it sadly did not happen.

A good old classic made even better, truly deserving the term definitive. Not only we get extra content like new playable nations and campaigns, we also get a variety of changes, some of which might look minor at first but soon end up feeling like a considerable quality of life improvement. Not only that, but the game managed to keep the same charm as before.
