What would feel like mere moments playing this game, you check the time to come the dreadful realisation of yet another... 12 hours... have been leeched from your life... gone... reduced to atoms.

Amazing game, just needs to be polished further more and it'll live up to legendary hype pre-launch for sure

SUMMARY

After completing this game, I do not recommend this game because of the bloody headache this game gave me.

You play the game as a diplomat on a far away island in order to save the continent from a disease wreaking havoc on the mainland continent. You must forge relationships with multiple factions in order to gain maximum benefits and rewards from these factions (most of the time you run around trying to be a detective and piece things together) in order to gradually move closer to the end game. Something this game does, which other games have failed with, is the companions concept. This game forces you to always have 2 companions with you at all times, and if you want, you can invest your time to learn each companions backstory, their struggles, their hardships, and inevitably ;) romance a companion of your choosing, you can even go full gae or lesbian. :))))))))))))))))

In my opinion, this game was like an abusive relationship, I loved it, but I hated it more than I loved it.

GRAPHICS.
The game looks amazing, I was in complete awe. I ran the game with these PC specs and it ran around 110fps indoors and 70-90fps outdoors on 'high' graphics preset *ultra went below 60fps so oof*:
Ryzen 7 2700x
Radeon 5700
16GB ram
SSD hardrive
Running this game with freesync on a 1440p monitor but lowering the game resolution to 1080p still makes the game look majestic plus free anti-aliasing.

Disclaimer: Past this point will be some minor spoilers of the game!!!
(And my rant that has several arguments)

This game has an ABUNDANCE of quests to give, and each quest certainly has it's own REFRESHING plot points. However, there is one MASSIVE problem that almost game me an aneurysm: A very anti-climatic and underwhelming reward system.
You could do a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quest that would last +2 hours and 20+ steps (could be an over-exaggeration BUT THAT'S WHAT IT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FELT LIKE) just to complete the quest and just to get a "Oh hey, good job, here's little bit of cash now shoo gtfo".

After a point in the game where there's been a failed coup, you've pretty much most likely explored ALMOST the entirety of the island. And it's at this point of the game where something is just pissing you the ♥♥♥♥ off, and it's a simple, simple small thing, yet MY GOD it's dreadful. This dreadful thing that I'm referring to is the map, that you access by pressing M on the keyboard and the travelling system. After completing this game, I have realised this game is MUCH for linear than a open world game. I can't tell you, the amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times I thought there was shortcut on this specific path towards my goal, cause I could've sworn I could go this way because the map said so but NOPE, game says ♥♥♥♥ you and drop kicks you in the face at the same time because you thought you can walk through these bushes(oh yeah there's no jumping) and you can't climb a 3-4ft vertical hill, game makes you GO AROUND and find the path. PLEASE for the love of god, if you're gonna make a game that ♥♥♥♥♥ over the player please make the map more detailed and make the paths and obstacles more DEFINED else a simple man like me and my fellow gamer will always want to travel the shortest route: STRAIGHT AHEAD.

Lastly and in addition to the last rant I made about the lazy map details, the travelling in this game is the equivalent to walking in a -10 blizzard and the neighbours kid just threw a snowball in your face whilst a stray dog comes out of nowhere, kicks you in the balls, and pisses on you while you writhe in pain. Yesssss, the travelling in this game is so horrible I have never felt so abused in my life while playing a game that I somewhat really enjoyed! On top of the lazy map details, once you're done with a quest in specific area, you have to travel back to a campfire, go to the edge of the map area, or to a settlement. (Now I realise I could be biased because every time I travelled I thought how much better it would be if it was ES5: Skryim fast travel system.)

Now imagine a quest with +10 steps in order to complete;
You must travel to a new area for every step;
You must follow the VERY linear path, no shortcuts, and inevitably run into dead ends because of bad map design;
Now you completed that step, go to campfire to return to previous area, oooo a shortcut, NOPE ♥♥♥♥ YOU, invisible wall, take the long path;
Yay you completed the quest, *INSERT VERY ANTI-CLIMATIC REWARD* "now shoo, gtfo, here's 250 gold, and MAYBE some reputation points"

I don't know about you fellow gamer, but that seems like aneurysm galore to me.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, if you have read this review you should know what to expect and have no excuse when you run into the same headache I did when playing this game.

Do the world a service and share this review with fellow gamers that consider purchasing this game.
