Hey you asked me about how to get imperial glory working and I had no idea how to respond but here you go:
Right click the game in your library and go to properties
Choose the Local files tab
click Browse local files
find the ImperialGlory application file, it will have the logo
right click it and go to the compatability tab
change the compatability to Windows XP (Service Pack 3)

That got it working for me, some people say choose windows 98 so if it dosent work for you, you can look between compatabilities and see what works best, but know that if you change compatability you will lose your save progress so hopefully you don't get as invested into a campaign and have to switch like I did.
