take cloud, cut it out, if it has its own lighting and you can make it fit then problem solved, do it, smoke shape is weird anyways so you can make it work. if not then post it, get rid of any lighting/artifacts, denoise it so it fits the scene, make it into a grey 127 127 127 color flat layer or close to that, add a zdepth for the mask and play with the zdepth min/max values to position the layer's depth position in the scene so it fades nicely without a sharp edge, add ontop two layers, one darkening layer in multiply blending mode, one lighting layer in screen blending mode, order shouldnt matter, then paint light onto the smoke by drawing into the screen layer, and paint shadows into the smoke by drawing on the multiply layer

join together enough layers, warp it etc, and boom you get smokes

So you use glow material on the skin so you get an mask layer for the skin and use it in the mat fullbright layer that you blur + a B&W filter and a channel mixer with red setup and sunburn blend mode if I remember
And another layer with the same mask layer but this time in multiply mode to make skin less faded
Or you can pick the final frame duplicate it and apply the skin mask layer into it, blur it and use channel mixer with bw filter and color it red

you're gonna wanna set sv_cheats to 1
then type phys_timescale 0
then load save
then put in console
