I would recommend this game for sure. It's got a great community (not to mention the esports will have you sitting on the edge of your seat at times), and I think it's got excellent multiplayer access! The game is cross-play, which means anyone on just about any modern platform can play with each other (Xbox, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, etc.). There are tons of different game modes to play in case you get bored of the same thing over and over. There is also a wide variety of cool and unique characters that each has their own set of abilities. The game (in my opinion) is pretty well balanced, especially compared to something like Super Smash Bros. where only a select few of characters are really good in competitive play, but that's a different topic. However, you do not simply unlock all the characters by just playing like in Smash Bros. Instead you earn gold by playing games and you can unlock any of the characters whenever you want. Even then, if you login every day you get a little bit of gold (even more each day if there is an event going on) which eventually can add up pretty quickly. One thing that keeps me playing is being able to level up your different fighters and getting new colors for them. You can also get gold for leveling up characters but only at specific levels. Kinda going back to what I said about the community, Brawlhalla streams on twitch and they have viewership tracks that let you receive free rewards by watching their streams. Some rewards are exclusive and some are just from the regular shop, but free stuff is always nice.
