So it seems Runelite was able to "inject" code into my browser to make a pornographic video with 2 men pop up. What's worse is it also somehow manipulated my browsing history to show hundreds of these same types of videos. Credit to my wife for discovering this cyberattack.
What's even crazier is that I believe the attacker was able to access our phones through my google account, as all the videos are timestamped at times when my wife is out of the house. While I don't know how this was performed, this seems to be the only explanation.
I'm making this post to talk to the other people who undoubtedly had this happen to them as well, and demand an explanation and apology from the creators of Runelite as well as fixing this dangerous exploit. And honey if you are reading this I love you very much, please come back.
