Sucks I can't transfer my progress from console to computer. But everything else feels perfect. In a world of Helldivers crappy aim and ragdolls. Sweaty gamers on the finals who are both unemployed and chronically online ruining the game with their oceanic amounts of sweat. As well as the various crashing and bugs from the modern games industry, it is a breath not of fresh air, but the classic new game smell from that plastic we used to have. 10/10 Somehow holds up, only minus -1 point for having so much DLC.

Everything you can want in a SWAT sim.

If you literally "had your experience ruined" by the literal 6 censors, you're dumb. There was never CP in the game... they depicted it. It's not a problem. Seriously it's stupid to complain about that.

I would complain about the PSN thing, but I'm a console player and this is the perfect spite to all the PC master race jerks. But my official review is it's a bad game in general. It's legitimately awful. The game is poorly balanced. You will have such RNG based spawns that the game is borderline unplayable.
The concept is a cash grab, there's not a single original bone in it's body ripping off the whole archetype of Starship Troopers, with political propaganda front and center at it's core. The characters annoyingly crack the same 10 lines about liber-tea, and it is annoying to say the least. There is no identity here that isn't stolen.
The gameplay itself gets stale very quickly. While it had a half decent battle progression and pass, let's never forget that if this game came out in 2009 it wouldn't have stood on it's own two feet, and it would have fallen flat against Halo Reach and Modern Warfare 2, which had actual battle progression without in game purchases. And even if it's a step in the right direction from the money grabbing loot box hellscape we've entered into now, it isn't a full correction. And it's a complacent half measure.
A game like this even before the PSN issue was bad, and I don't know if it's a generational issue, in the fact that players now have either forgotten the quality which was expected of 4th-6th generation games, but the quality has severely decreased. There was hand crafting, tailored usage of AI instead of broad swath RNG. And the AI directors were always much more skilled in their applications unlike this game's AI. Further the graphical errors of this game are substantial, and "buy a better PC" shouldn't be applicable when it runs like trash on everything that's not the top premiere PC. There are programming errors now so common with graphics engines, that cause performance issues, or connection issues, that the games themselves are terrible. Further, the amount of fog and clouds, with low visibility do not justify the performance issues. The game also is buggy in general, as Skyrim has conditioned many players to glitches, however, these glitches were getting wedged in places and being unable to move or play the game. And there are numerous times when this had happened, to everyone I played with. The game itself has severe input issues where your character will not respond to your controls, especially when swarmed. Which is infuriating.
Further, the gameplay itself is incredibly disrespectful to the player, as the numerous times of ragdolls and various other times when your character is entirely the victim of the physics engine is grossly too many. The player is not actually in control, if there's ever a time when anything vaguely bumps into you whether explosive or otherwise. Starwars battlefront 2 had a much better solution to this, and even if this game plays somewhat like the older game, it does not actually respond like it. One more, they added in specific mechanics to discourage or outright bully the player for certain playstyles. Adding enemies which can only be damaged from behind, only to make them spawned commonly, and in excess. All while players might be playing solo. Instakill mechanics which are nothing short of irritating, and just downright mean, like adding bile spewers acid. Or even adding more patrols for every player slot you don't have filled because they hate solo players.
Further the strange hybrid of horde shooter with Mil-Sim is just wrong. The worst reticle bloom of all time, and a completely inaccurate sighting system, as well as terrible control-ability creates an awful experience. When you've played games like halo or call of duty which even despite their flaws have actual aiming systems it takes the cake easily as the dumbest shooter ever. Because forcing my reticle at the feet of an enemy a few meters in front of me, just to hit it, is terrible screen utilization. It's a disgrace to modern gaming.
In conclusion, if you were wondering if this game is actually good. Go back and play the original star wars battlefront 2 and remind yourself of what a good game is like. The game isn't that good, it was a step in the right direction compared to the cash grab soulless grind mill we have now, it still wasn't far enough, and clearly it wasn't ever planned on anything for this.
In light of the PSN issue, Just as a reminder, there is no possible way the Dev's didn't know this was coming, as they read the terms and service agreement of the Sony agreement. Therefore, it's completely moronic to blame solely Sony or PlayStation for this. The Devs colluded with them on this one. And yeah, they played you and everyone else who sunk tons of hours into this game. They did this on purpose, and you were manipulated. Don't let them forget that they did this.
