honestly, this is just another one of those instances where the game is fine, but the price is just way to high.

- i could only find one powerup that actually increases weapon power.

= the powerups are speed, damage, extra half life, and heal. They are all ok but super basic.

+ the ships are balanced.

- the game is super short, and has nothing of note, its not bad for what it is, but this is really a 2$ game, not a 5$ game.

Sophstar is hell. Really, really, fun... hell..

+ The gameplay is extremely fun, enemies have massive variety, levels are handcrafted, and learning how to dodge and handle each level, while painful, was really enjoyable.

+ The art of this game is so well done, it is some of the best pixel art ive seen from a retro style game.

+ this is exactly what I would expect from a bullet hell, its a bit grindy but if it weren't fun i wouldn't have played it.

- 1-3 is extremely easy, and then 5-8 is extremely hard, this can make it repetitive when I have to do the first 3 levels over and over again.

+ The plot is not bad. The commander is a bit odd, but its not a bad plot.

- all ships in the game are either not Arobe-D, or Arobe-D. because there needed to be a high damage, good teleport, secondary invincibility, high AoE ship to make sure all the other ones felt like trash.

= To beat the game, the player must reach the TRUE final boss on intermediate without the use of tokens (tokens can be used during the final boss), this is what makes it so challenging, and why only 2% of players have actually beaten this game. Again, it is really fun and rewarding, but it is CHALLENGING.

EXTREMELY BROKEN, does not run well on an RTX 5070.

Game regularly crashes, tabbing out causes permanent black screen.

The moment I fix one issue, two more pop up.

Edit: my game is now permanently black screening, this is a SCAM.

EDIT 2: WTF. everything is black screening now, this game managed to break all my other games.

In its current state, this game is really bare, me and my friend both bought it, and within 2 matches he got bored and left, i messed around a bit against bots, but it gets really old really fast with just 4 characters.

I am a big fan of hustle, ROA, and Brawlhalla, so I was really expecting a lot from this game, but Brawlhalla has better combat/servers, ROA has better combos and more characters, and Hustle just has more content. Brawlhalla is free, and Hustle is cheaper than this game, so I don't see much of a point in buying this. At least in its current state.

The game features 2 levels, the first one is 10 minutes long, the second one is 3 minutes long. This is blatantly not worth 2$.

If Final Fantasy 16 is a movie, this game is a novel.

+ This game has one of the most compelling plots I have ever played. The idea is that, as an employee of ChronoZen, you are not effected by changes in time, meaning that while everyone else constantly shifts and changes, usually just vanishing out of existence, you do not. This quickly means you can not make any friendships outside of work, have any relationships, or do anything meaningful to others, as everyone else constantly ceases to exist.

+ The plot of the game mainly focuses around on working at ChronoZen, their is no overarching "the company is evil" background like in every other game, move. book, etc, which is a nice change. instead, it just focuses on a lot of day to day events in the life of a ChronoZen employee that lead to a much bigger and chaotic scene.

+ Old Skies has a completion rate of above 50%, which is insane for a 15 hour game. Most major studio games such as FF16, hi-fi rush, etc, have a completion rate of 30%.

+ Characters are non-linear, this is a really good improvement on what I have grown used to with other significantly worse point and click games. Just because a character is evil or bad in one scene, does not mean they are simply a villain, and vise-versa. This means characters are unique, and that they grow and evolve throughout the game.

+ The voice acting is VERY well done. The way actors deliver their lines gives the game a lot of depth, humor, and realism.

+ The plot is very emotional, their is only one part I honestly think leaves a lot of room for error, but its at the very last second of the game. Other than that, it is an emotional rollercoaster, and very air-tight.

+ A lot of the choices you make do not effect the story as a whole, but are still really tough. This game was really good at making me think about my actions.

+ The puzzles are very well made, at no point was I like "this is bs", like in other point and clicks, everything is pretty logical. My inventory was never crowded with garbage that I had to sift through, and in the event I had to go, and then come back, I could call on Nozzo and have him remind me what I was currently doing last I played without actually giving away what I had to do.

- The game is a bit pricey, but nothing severe.

+ The game covers some pretty heavy topics, especially because one of the scenes takes place before and after 9/11. If anyone was going to cover such a tough topic in their game, I think it definitely should've been these guys. They did a very good job of integrating the plot, while still being respectful, and giving a window into the impact of such a major event.

= I believe how the time travelling system works is that any major event that happened without the assistance of time travel is marked as "High Priority", whether it is good or bad. Meanwhile, if a time traveller caused a major event, it is only marked as "high priority" if it is positive, such as a medical breakthrough. At least that is how i viewed it, or made it make sense to me. Again, this is one of the best depictions of time travel, with as few plotholes as possible, EXCEPT FOR THE LAST SECOND, and i can't explain why because then it would be a spoiler.

Over all. Absolutely amazing game, definitely the best point and click game I have ever played. This is one of those games I think everyone should play, just like FF16 or STRAFTAT. It is a really, REALLY amazing game.

This is a very unique, very odd, but very educational windows into the world of surrealism and dadism (i think i spelled dadism right)

+ The characters, despite being odd, somehow do make sense, and are pretty meaningful. Its very interesting being in a world in which it feels like none of my actions would end up causing harm.

+ The game has 2 entire movies, each about 10 minutes long. It also has a few very bizarre cutscenes. The second movie at the very least was made by the person who developed this game.

+ The entire game was obviously made with limited resources, but also I can tell that so much effort was involved in the creation of this game, its so insanely well made.

+ The game also comes with a good chunk of surrealist art and sculptures, a long with bios for many famous artists, formatted in a way that I was able to learn a bit from, i recognized a lot of it from humanities.

+ yes! they do have the non-erotic masturbation painting.

+ the game also has a platformer variant, and had additional content extending the story by about an hour after the original ending.

- the price is a bit high, but nothing extreme, it is about 1.5$ per hour.

Over all, this is an amazing game, so much love and care was put into it, and im grateful to have had the honor of experiencing it.

After playing a lot of really bad games, its nice to finally pick something up that is actually good.

+ is positive
- is negative
= is neutral

- the price is a bit high, its 1.5$ per hour, but not anything extreme.

- the plot is kinda plain. I don't see many plotholes, but also character dialogue sometimes feels forced or awkward. With some emotional parts not really needing to be emotional, and some non-emotional parts being abrupt and simplified.

+ the art is insane, its easily some of the most impressive design i have ever seen in a pixel art style game. It also melds with the gameplay to make some really wild stuff. The devs really tested the limits of what was possible, and it shows.

+ Gameplay is super fun, each chapter you get a spell, and you get to use it properly, it never feels forced the way it does in most games with mechanics. Everything you earn feels helpful, and not a hindrance or unnecessary.

+ While there are some chokes, especially near the end, and some hitboxes feel a bit wonky, most of the level design is really solid, and again, a lot of experimental 3d art is found throughout the game combined with some insanely good graphics.

- The game tends to be poorly optimized, at least the version you just run from the get-go, i did experience lag during specific large enemies and actions, this does not have anything to do with my pc, which im currently running a 5070 (and other similar specs)

Over all, this game is heavily riding on its amazing visuals, and unique gimmicks, and it completely delivers, It is a very solid game, and i see now reason for anyone reading this to ignore it.

This game is miserably bad, all i was doing in it was walking around aimlessly hoping to find 7 bases, 3 terminals, and 50 enemies. Its super easy, but the terminals are on one random square of a 1000+ square grid, so it comes down to 30 minutes of aimless walking, i was getting a headache so i just stopped. Also if you click on the part 2 section of campaign it crashes the game.
