So I never review games, but I have seen far too many brain dead people hate on the game for seemingly no reason.

The game is absolutely incredible. By far one of the best 1st-person shooters you will ever play. The constant action and frantic chaos you are thrown into is reminiscent of the older style shooters that created the genre.
The game is meaningfully and organically challenging. Different enemies have clear and different attack patterns and weaknesses. The Devs created a movement focused atmosphere where you do not feel too inclined to use the same weapon for the whole game. There is some platforming, but none of it is too hard or too long. A nice little break from all the chaos. If you like Doom 2016 I recommend playing the game for more than an hour before you go give it a 0 on Metacritic.
