Meh. If your playing this casually, I'm sure you'll have a great time. If you go for master tournaments and all achievements, don;t. This game suffers horribly from 'harder for the sake of being harder'. You don;t learn any new tactics, you pick the car with the best handling and do what you can. Sometimes you'll hit the back of another car and stop dead. Sometimes you'll brake on a curb and stop dead. This might not be so bad but you ALWAYS start last, even if you come 1st 8 times in a row, still last. So why is this an issue? Because the roads are so narrow and bumping into the back of a car slows you down to a snails pace, so if you do a few too many bumps you might as well restart.

The reason i'm giving a thumbs up is because the core game play loop and world tour is fun enough, endurance is...okay? Far too long (I know it's endurance for a reason) but without a break the top one will take several hours, with no quitting. The tournaments are boring, just the main game again but with added superficial difficulty in the harder modes. I'm 8 achievements away and will most likely finish it, but not for a while. F*** master difficulty tournaments.

Overall, buy on sale.

Obviously games like this will always be compared to Pokemon, which right out the gate gives it a very hard beginning. I didn't hate this game, i did enjoy it for the most part. But 10 hours in I had enough, enough of the obnoxious forced level scaling, the lack of information (where to find certain Nexomon, type advantages, etc), why every trainer from a certain point has all OP Nexomon..I could go on. You can tell love has been put into this game, the art is nice, the humor is witty and breaks the 4th wall (too much at times) and I may come back one day. But nothing grabs me, nothing makes me want to play more, at least in Pokemon you have the end goal of shiny hunting or the Frontier (or others like this) or online battles or collecting them all for the shiny charm. But nothing like this is here. Maybe i'm missing something. Maybe I can't find enough online to keep me playing, because it's not a massively popular game.
Overall this is a good 'Monster Collector' game, but really lacks any punch.

I wish Steam had a thumb in the middle. I'll go through my Pros and Cons.

PROS -
Fun, simple gameplay.
Very fun Co-op (I've heard, God I'm lonely).
Lots of loot!
Awesome devs.

CONS -
Running is a "skill"
Very simple skills, too simple.
Basic OST.
Almost non-existent puzzles.
Poor DLC, adds very little.


Overall, I enjoyed my time with Quest Hunters, not always though. But I can see the devs put effort into this, so I'm looking forward to see what the devs create next!

This proved to me how over saturated "open world survival" is. Awful, boring, laggy, janky, slow. I got this for free (with Humble Monthly) and still wish I could have my money back.
