Masochistic difficulty, extremely limited inventory, actually fun skill and class system, super zombie vampires out for zombie blood, and big titted amnesiac girl with a fixation on you.
Put these together and you get Code Vein. While similar to Dark Souls, let me get this straight, is is NOTHING like that. Beginning with the world building.

Your actions DO matter for the world, you're not some random guy running around killing zombies. That is the main point i liked in the game. Your actions actually impact the story, for better or worse.

Builds, weapons and skills can be changed completely on the fly, and even mid combat if you want. You're never stuck on a playstyle, may it be tank, caster or fighter.

While very hard at first, the game opens up after a while as you unlock more weapons and upgrades. Some bosses are still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but with some perseverance they CAN be beaten.

Co-op is... A mixed bag. No crossplay, the summoned player gets gimped and the summoner cannot rest at Mystles, or the summon gets kicked. But when it works, the game becomes twice as awesome.

Character creator is a masterpiece. While still not perfect, you can use mods to make it so.

Story is... Upbeat enough to still have that edgy tone, but managing to fit some good themes in there. Definitely a step up from the stale grimdark Souls world.

English dub is great. Bash me, i don't care.

Music could be improved in some places, but it gets a pass.

Final verdict - One of the best games i've played on PC. Give it a try.

Nice gameplay. Nice art. Strategy aspect is a bit lacking, but definitely a good game i'd recommend.
