If Dragon Age 4: Veilguard were an entirely new, standalone RPG, I might praise its decent action system and flashy visual effects. However, as a Dragon Age game, it utterly fails. This is not just a reboot—it’s a complete dismissal of everything that made the series beloved by its fans.
First, let’s talk about past decisions and the world-altering choices players have made in previous games. Don’t expect any of that here. The game keeps a token three “choices” from the past, but their presence is meaningless, mere nods to a history this game couldn’t care less about. This is the “legacy” they’re supposedly preserving? No, it’s simply laziness masking as reinvention.
The combat system is, admittedly, decent—if you can ignore the nauseating overload of effects that regularly flood the screen. Often, it’s nearly impossible to see what’s actually happening in battle, and you’re left blindly mashing keys. And the companions? Reduced to mere skill-casting bots who, conveniently, don’t die. There’s no real strategy here; instead, it’s just a string of cooldowns and combo chains..
Then there’s the story, which is so simplified it’s insulting. The writers seemingly thought we’d be incapable of following anything complex, so every plot point is spoon-fed with the bluntest of lines, often with character names awkwardly tagged on just to ensure clarity. As for companion dialogues, any depth or wit has been traded for Marvel-style wisecracks and filler banter. Gone is the character-driven richness of past games, replaced with a bland, brain-numbing “interaction” system that leaves you longing for silence.
And let’s not forget the constant insertion of non-binary terminology. While I have no issue with inclusive language, it feels thoughtlessly pasted in here without regard for the lore or immersion. No creative effort was made to blend it naturally into the Dragon Age universe; instead, it’s jarringly dropped in like a buzzword checklist, undermining the setting.
Finally, there are the “fan service” cameos from old characters—if we can even call it that. These returning faces have zero real impact, as though they were brought back solely to check a box labeled “appease old fans.” Their appearances add nothing to the story, serving only as hollow gestures. It’s like the devs are saying, “See? We included these characters you love. Isn’t that enough?” If this is what passes for fan service, Dragon Age fans deserve better.
In short, if you’re looking for a decent action RPG, Veilguard might do the trick. But if you’re hoping for a Dragon Age game that respects the series’ legacy and core identity, look elsewhere. This game missed the mark by a mile.

没有玩过第一代,单纯从这一作说一说
游戏的气氛很不错,推荐带上耳机,在恐怖气氛上,前半部分流程渲染的很不错,但是到了中后期,玩家的装备、技能成长起来,对战斗机制也了解后,基本就变成动作游戏了。
战斗机制上,由于我选的是简单难度,所以拿到了霰弹枪后,基本就一路喷过去了。武器上给的种类还是比较丰富的,但是一周目的流程过来,基本还是靠霰弹枪和手枪、十字弩。霰弹枪是真很好用,打小怪爆头一枪一个。另外游戏刚开始的话,经常会被套路,但是后面哪会有怪,哪会吓你一下,你基本就能感觉到了(但是还是会被吓到..),另外一但物品旁边有在地上躺尸、靠墙的怪,上去一发喷子就行了,在你捡了东西后基本会醒的233
地图是比较开放的,基本可以自由探索,顺便这一作的场景真的很不错。
通关后会有一点新内容。
打折这个价绝对值。

20小时通关,NPC一个没杀,有一些任务没做
流程不算太长,结合游戏内容来看感觉这个价格还是偏贵。
在战斗系统上,基本上就是等别人出完招再打就行了,难度不是很大,技能盾真是个好东西,开了盾上去A就行了,另外这里面耐力很重要,建议多点一些。
武器系统上比较单调,近战就四类,单手刀,双手刀(格挡/用好之后无敌),棒子(击晕),小刀(吸蓝),这里面的枪械,我个人感觉不是特别鸡肋,满级霰弹枪打boss还是挺痛的,主要是子弹限制的原因,打小怪感觉浪费,打boss又感觉不够。可以试一下全堆弹药,说不定可以把BOSS射死。
地图没有传送,只能自己跑路。顺便一提地图指引有的地方也很迷。
NPC的形象做得还比较丰满,其中有几个故事挺有趣的,我推荐还是少杀NPC,毕竟死一个少一个。另外NPC给的经验炒鸡多,一个不杀确实打起来有点难受,尤其是打BOSS,那个麦卡勒姆三刀我就没了啊。当然多打打小怪还是能打过去的,没多么难。
DLC的话,玩了游戏后感觉不是很需要
