ABSOLUTE CINEMA!
Fantastic mech game. Story, music, characters are all great. Voice actors did a wonderful job. Gameplay is out of this world and definitely the highlight of the game. A short review like this one won't ever do this game justice, so do yourself a favor and pick this game up if it even remotely interests you.

Final Verdict: S-

Cons: Some of the bosses (Strap, Line, Star) have aggressively boring phases that force you to use your gun. These segments wherein you're forced into extended ranged combat are the most dull parts of this game, obnoxiously tedious to the point of me wanting to fall asleep during these parts.

Pros: Literally everything else in this game is S tier. Boss designs are creative and memorable, setting and arenas are interesting. Gameplay and OST are out of this world, these aspects are the best parts of this game. Gameplay and OST alone make this worth paying the full price for, and this game often goes on sale (goes up to -90% off!).

Specifics: Combat in Furi has Sekiro elements mixed in with bullet hell, the fact that Furi combat is comparable to Sekiro is a good indicator of how fantastic the combat is in this game (barring the aforementioned ranged segments). If you want a taste of the OST Furi offers, listen to 6.24. The tracks following 6.24 are all at least comparable, if not better. Furi also respects your time, you can finish this within 3-4 hours with much more hours in replayable content after beating the game.

This game is a banger, the pixel art style and soundtrack have both aged like wine. UNI is also home to some of the coolest character designs in fighting games. Hilda my beloved ❤️
