First the things I disliked so someone might read them:
- getting the items in your hand to where you want them is finnicky sometimes and tends to be annoying when you have several layers
- not all items can be turned in all 4 directions which limits design
- there's little incentive to design your own homes, which probably isn't a problem for many but I don't really do something unless prompted.. I bet it's a lot of fun, if you like doing that stuff tho
- the first missions were great but the further I got in the story, the worse it got (especially the convenience store ones were horrible)

Over all good game, I personally would give it a 6.5/10 because there's just too many things that bothered me but it's very beautiful and still was a fun time

This is not Frostpunk, it's Frostpunk 2 - and I very much love it for that..
I would call this a near perfect sequel to the first game.. Adapting is a big part of the Frostpunk universe and handling the new mechanics felt just like that
I really liked the story, especially the choices you get to make and I must admit that they feel more memorable than in the first Game (it has been quite some time since I played that tho so take it with a grain of salt)
Generally the handling of the different factions was fun and I really like that they complain about actions that contradict with what you did/said before

Frostpunk 2 sadly runs very poorly, I am blessed with a strong PC but even there I could notice how bad it runs occasionally.. I also think the UI is not very good or at least not introduced properly as it was very tedious to look through the Districts to find a certain building I placed down hours ago

I have not played anything from the Utopia mode but am planning to and am kinda hyped to do so as I imagine it being very fun..

As someone who hasn't played the original game and thus nostalgia not playing a factor in my experience with the game, I have to say that the game is a 2/10 at best

It literally plays how I imagine it played back in 2007 or whenever the original came out and I absolutely mean that in a bad way
Nothing about the game feels good, the gameplay is just button mashing and dodge-rolling / blocking the WHOLE time, you get little loading screens or unecessary cutscenes EVERYWHERE and it just takes away from the already lackluster experience because there's literally no flow

I understand it is a spin-off but it's not even worth 20 bucks because it literally has nothing going on for it besides the story and arguably the visuals.. Dialogue is so bad it gets funny again, the animations feel janky as hell and boss-fights seem like all you do is bashing your head against a wall until you at some point beat it (or you do it first try because somehow it's easy as hell)

Don't expect exploration - this is about knowledge and speed
It's a Roguelike or Roguelite, whatever you wanna call it

The bosses are fun, some of the non Night-3 Bosses are too weak and I think there could've been a lot more bosses from old Souls Games
It's not worth 40€ but I'd argue that you can definitely even get 40€ worth of fun out of it

Great puzzle game with very unique visuals and surprisingly good story

Very good experience, especially the way it's carefully handled.. I personally don't have a problem with facing such topics but I bet that the whole trigger warnings can very much help people struggling with it

The story seemed a little loose and nonsensical throughout the game but it ends with everything making sense and it also ends with a metaphor that I absolutely love (and don't want to spoil)
I would advise to go through the chapters again after finishing the game, at least some of them, because you're gonna notice stuff that you haven't before

Some chapters were painfully well-made and especially after going through the chapters again, it's painful to realize how obvious some things were that you didn't notice.. Probably just like you usually don't notice things irl until it's too late

It is pricey with 10€ and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have bought it for that price but if it's in a sale, it definitely is worth the cost

So I like about 90% of the Game but some parts of it just pissed me off too much.. I would like to give a neutral review but I can't

The 6th chapter was very annoying several times throughout
The last chapter was just absolutely horrendous, it is a pain and absolutely no fun and very poorly designed
Everything else was very fun, well designed and looked nice but the other two chapters sadly ruined a lot of the fun for me
If I hadn't played them, I would have defintely given this game a positive review but I'd still argue it's worth it either way if you can handle some suffering and toughing stuff out

The Game does literally everything right
You can jump in and play for 5 minutes or for two hours
Puzzles are hard enough to feel challenging and easy enough so you beat the hardest of them within 5-10 minutes max
Visually nice, obviously nothing incredible but it adds to the whole charm

Just a great game to play in between whatever you're doing
