Lucid Blocks has been such a lovely experience. One of the few games I've experienced that gives you such a feeling of wonder while randomly beating the hell out of you with the feeling of anxiety and dread then wrapping you in a blanket of whimsy and spoon feeding you soup. And with the second larger update out - it gives me a greater joy playing knowing there may be more to discover alongside the community in the future.
The only complaint I truthfully have is the crafting. The apotheosis system as a whole has been really cool, and allows for nearly infinite discovery while encouraging people to share findings and crafting optimizations. However despite the sense of community it can help bring it is unfortunately a little headache inducing. The recipes themselves and how you make things I think is fun despite being unintuitive at times, but cataloging discoveries and the recipes used to make them can be a bit much. While the game does give you a notebook, trying to record recipes either through written ms paint text or use of the item stamp feature can be a frustrating, especially if you wish to move recipes to different pages but lack the item in your inventory to use as a stamp. This can be especially mind numbing if you plan on making any sort of build that requires a basic block you forgot the recipe for, or neglected to write down, making it an unfortunate bottleneck to certain aspects of building unless you painstakingly catalogue every possible combination of items for a recipe you discover, go on a quest for a biome with a floor made of the block you need, or stop in your tracks and scour the internet for three minutes to find an answer.

Despite the minor annoyance though, this game is ABSOLUTLEY worth the price of admission. The music is hypnotic and candy for the ears. The visuals hit a sweet spot in my brain that reminds me of Fantum Betula. All the uncanny and seemingly random possible encounters and world generation are an absolute treat, and on top of it all it even has an in built world sharing feature that lets you roam around other peoples personal purgatory :)

Its ten bucks. Give this person your money so they can make more silly recordings of their arm holding dollar store toys. You know you want to.

Third friend joins us after day one of work. They make a b-line towards the loot cabinet. They grab a makeshift flash bang. "What's this?". We turn to him to see that he already pulled the pin. We get blinded before we can react, hearing nothing but our collective laughter through the tinnitus.

So yeah basically the perfect co op game.
