After the Five nights at freddys DLC came out many players have noticed how long you have to wait in the lobby to get into a match to play a killer. Sometimes the wait time is over 15 minutes. In addition to this update, the (MMR) system has been completely different. When I play a survivor, sometimes I come across really easy killers, while sometimes I come across tournament-level killers. Also, when I play some killers for the first time, the survivors are super good at playing and the generators just fly. This is something worth considering
Conclusion:
Dead by Daylight remains one of the most unique and suspenseful multiplayer experiences available. Despite some balance and community challenges, its core gameplay loop is thrilling, and the constant stream of updates keeps it fresh. For fans of horror, strategy, and tense multiplayer experiences, it’s still absolutely worth playing in 2025.
I give Dead By Daylight rating of 8/10
1. Balance Issues & Meta Swings
The ever-evolving meta can be frustrating. Some Killer or perk combinations can dominate for periods before being adjusted, causing imbalance in matches.
2. Steep Learning Curve for New Players
DbD is not beginner-friendly. The game doesn’t do much hand-holding, and there’s a lot to learn—perks, map layouts, Killer abilities, and game mechanics.
3. Outdated Graphics (in parts)
Despite visual upgrades (like The Realm Beyond overhaul), the engine and animations feel dated compared to modern titles in 2025.
4. Community Toxicity
Toxic behavior—especially targeted at Killers or in post-game chat—is still an issue in the community. While tools exist to report or block, and toxic SWF squads that just roll new killer players. it's something to be aware of.
