The game ive been waiting most of my life for. been holding off writing this review for a while due to my want to enjoy the game. I still remember being 4-5 years old and playing bt2 on the ps2 with my dad and family. having world tournaments. This game perfectly embodies what it was before, ive had friends over for a tournament now and the game is indeed an installment of the tenkaichi series. Given Ive had much time to prepare for this highly anticipated release, either practicing with my old ps2 copy or with mods on my computer, Im still a proud S rank player and dont plan to stop here. Im even close to 100 percenting the game. However, having spent hours in the online competitive setting now and can without a doubt in my mind state this game does have its flaws. The spam, the cheese, the meta heavy characters and true power-scaling, but I must take a step back and think... THIS is truly Tenkaichi! who remembers having a younger family member get a little angry and pick ss4 gogeta and not the player, but the character selected itself can make you go from confident to panic. The imbalance of this game is Definitely one of its many beauties and pros to long time fans. Is it gonna be frustrating? Of course.... very.... my desk is cracked now. But this game still leaves A huge learning curve to be discovered by a player who wants to overcome this annoyance. You either become a villain and play ui goku, a fusion, Beerus, whis, gero etc. or you can learn to manage your ki more efficiently and perfect your timing for super and z counters and when exactly the best time to utilize your characters kit is. Its not easy, but from experience, You can reach top rankes with "weaker" characters if youre skilled enough. So as much as I proudly welcome this game into my library and welcome all of its imperfections and changes to come, I can say my Scouter Vegeta is a scary sight to even the most brainless of super vegitos.
