Federico Santiago Valverde Dipetta, born on July 22, 1998, in Montevideo, Uruguay, is a central midfielder for Real Madrid and the Uruguay national team. He began his career at Peñarol, winning the Uruguayan Primera División in 2015–16, before joining Real Madrid in 2016, where he has won multiple titles, including three La Liga championships and two UEFA Champions League trophies. Valverde has also been a key player for Uruguay, participating in the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Federico Valverde, often called Fede, is 1.82 m (6 ft) tall and known for his speed, stamina, and powerful long shots. He’s versatile: while primarily a box-to-box midfielder, he can also cover at right-back when needed. Valverde joined Real Madrid’s first team in 2017 after a loan spell at Deportivo La Coruña.
