As a player of all Life is strange games, I knew I would have to play this and I was so excited to see what developed from Max's story after Arcadia Bay. My boyfriend gifted me the ultimate edition of the game (thank the universe for the gem that he is for gifting me every single LIS game that has come out) and I played it as soon as it came out. When outweighing the pros and cons of the game, there genuinely seemed to be more cons.

PROS:
- The soundtrack was perfect per usual, I always love the music that comes with the LIS games and this one didn't disappoint. Every song felt fitting for every scene, every sit-down, every milestone, etc.
- Graphics. The design of the characters and the graphics were gorgeous. I loved the graphics and design of the game LIS: True Colors but DE definitely is a close second with how well-made the game looks.
- Voice actors: self explanatory.

CONS:
- The main issue I had with the entire game itself was how rushed it felt at the end. The final three chapters, especially the last two felt as if they needed to be wrapped up and didn't touch on a lot of the events that happened. For spoiler reasons, I won't talk about said events but there were many things that we did not return to or get to figure out. We were left with no answers and although at the end it is said that Max will return, I really feels as if it were messy to leave off a lot of the things they did.
- The "final big decision" didn't feel final at all. The prompt leading up to the final decision itself felt confusing and I have seen a lot of other people mention that they didn't know what they were even agreeing or not agreeing to. Along with that, my final decision didn't seem to really impact anything at the end. It felt almost pointless. There were no significant differences between the endings compared to the first LIS game with Arcadia Bay.
- Characters: Personally, I didn't find myself getting the chance to really know the characters the way I would have gotten the chance to in previous games. There was not much of a bonding system to work with and it felt like at the end, I was pretty neutral toward everyone. Nobody stood out to me and I didn't end the game having a favorite or memorable character.
- Not related to the base game itself but the ultimate edition which includes the cat content is absolutely NOT worth for the price they sell it for. You get at most 5 mins in total of cat content and barely any interaction with the cat whenever they pop up in chapters. I really thought there would be more interaction or that the cat would be included in the story a lot more but the screen time they gave the cat is seriously a joke. The clothing items are also not that special for the price. You're really not missing out on anything if you don't purchase the ultimate edition.
- Too much going on. I loved the concept of Max having powers but as the story progresses, there is just too much happening all at once that a lot of the times I felt very confused or lost at words at how to even explain what was going on/how it happened and that impacted how I made decisions because at the end of it all, there was just too much to comprehend.
- What the HELL happened to Chloe and Max's relationship? It was completely ruined and turned into something that is unlike them both at all. There is no way Chloe would just lose interest in Max and be okay with her parting ways. The dynamic between them is so unrealistic and I'm glad to see that others agree how wrong it feels. Based on the major decision that some players made in Arcadia Bay, especially the one where you are sacrificing the entire city for Chloe does not align at all with how things run in Double Exposure. I really wish our decisions at the end of LIS games impacted how the next game played out.

I loved the simple yet intricate lore of the first LIS game and I really hope that the developers take all the reviews into consideration when continuing the story. All in all, I can understand playing the game just to play because after all, it is LIS but I would not recommend the ultimate edition nor would I say this game exceeded any expectations I had. I also would recommend not spending an enormous amount of money for the game and instead watch a game play on it.

This game is so beautifully made, from the music to the visuals and the character development. I found myself becoming so attached to each character and dreading the day the the game would end. The choices in this game were so well planned and thought out and the developers did an amazing job at making the game one that hits you right in the heart. I loved getting to see the difference in numbers when it came to what other players picked for big choices. The story line of this game is an emotional roller coaster and one that I would definitely go on again to make different choices and see how it plays out. Arcadia Bay is such a beautiful place and I loved getting to explore parts of it. I loved the music that would play in the background during some scenes and while it played during Max's inner dialogue cuts when you would sit her down somewhere. This game brought tears to my eyes from how hard one of the choices were and that's not really a feeling I've ever gotten before from a decision based game. I would recommend this game to anyone and I'm sure a lot of the other positive reviewers here would agree.
