A truely special game, one of the best zelda-like games I've played.

If you like previous Borderlands games, you will like this. It's closer to Borderlands 1/2 with the gameplay from Borderlands 3, with a mix of Apex Legends or Destiny like movement. Humor has been toned back from Borderlands 3 (A little too much in my opinion).


However performance is a huge issue, constant crashes, optimisation thrown out the window and DLSS and Frame-Gen is heavily relied on, which is shameful especially for the price. The standard UE5 + Triple A game release that seems to be common as of late.

Frame-Gen needs a stable 60+ to feel OK (if you're willing to accept the added latency), but even that can be a mission to achieve.
Expect 60 fps @ 1440p after lowering settings to a mixture of Off / Low / Medium, with DLSS Balanced or Performance.

TLDR: Great game, However plagued by huge performance issues and crashes.
