if it wasn't for the Humble Bundle, I wouldn't have played nor found out about this game. It's an awesome strategy (or rather tower defense) game. To me, it reminds me of the old "Age of War" flash-game that was playable back in the day. Of course it's way more different than that but plays out similarly.

If you are in to games like that or in strategy games overall with difficulty (I found this game to be a bit difficult lol.) then this game is for you! I recommend it.

p.s. I also like the art / graphics style of this game.

What I like:

The Graphics, the Level Design (Map being big with areas to discover, and for some areas you have to unlock certain abilities.), the voice acting, lip syncing.

The souls-like combat mechanics. (I also like the fact that you can switch between Anette and Red while in combat and utilize their own abilities.)

The optimization of the game.

The game's ending having different outcomes depending on the decisions you make through certain points of the game.

I have also liked the game being like an RPG game. Meaning, you have to obtain items to upgrade your gear, and you gain experience points to level up.

What I partially like:

The story. It's a bit cliché but it's not too bad.

The atmosphere is decent but could have been a bit better.

While in combat, the characters leap towards the enemies. It is not like how Batman attacks in Arkham trilogy but a bit toned down version of it.

What I don't like:

I don't like how characters are able to move left and right so quickly as if they don't have any weight to them.

It also doesn't feel they don't weigh while attacking, and while climbing and etc. This should have been made similar to how moving and or attacking with Kratos feels from the new God of War series.

Overall rating: 6.5/10

P.S. My recommendation is that you pick this game when it's on sale. Do not pay the full price. Additionally, at some areas of the game, it gave me Ghost of Tsushima vibes due to the environment.

Disclaimer: The game's on a giveaway so you can just add it to your library for FREE. (November 7th 2025.)

I have unlocked all the trophies so I feel like I am qualified enough to write a review about it, unlike those who just launched the game and turned it off. It is a simple, fun, and a nice puzzle game where you are supposed to collect cubes.

You are able to achieve this by changing (or rather shifting) dimensions and make your way to get the cubes.

Towards the end, it gets more complicated. Not only you are supposed to change dimensions, you also have to rotate the platforms to make your way up. So it makes things a bit more complicated.

Overall, the quality of the game is nice, I'd say for a game like this the BGM is alright, and achievements are easily obtainable. All you have to do is to finish all levels. (There are few more things to do but they are easily obtainable as well.)

Someone else have mentioned that the performance gets worse as you keep progressing, and it is true. The performance does get worse. Especially when you are in a level where you have to act quickly to pause and un-pause, rotate etc.

However, I am not sure if I have experienced this due to my hardware or the game being unoptimized towards the higher levels. But, it is not that big of a deal, as you can lower the graphics to LOW and so on.

Length: If you are accustomed to souls-like games, and if you are playing it on normal difficulty, your play-through should be somewhere between 18-25 hours. If you end up enjoying this game as much as I have did, your play-through will significantly increase. Especially if you decide to unlock all the achievements, collect all the documents, obtain every outfit (and their variations in new game+). I think you will end up playing this for 50-65 hours to do all those things I have just mentioned. So, whether you get it during a sale or not, it will be worth your money.

Soundtrack: This game has an amazing soundtrack. I have played tons of games until today, and this is literally the third game where I like its OST a lot. Tachy Mode, Beyond Fate, Raven, Dawn, White Night, Silent Street Type A, and many more have been my favorite. Including the newly released soundtrack back in 9/24 called "Development is Fun!". These guys at Shift Up have done an amazing job.

Enemy Variety/Locations: There are 7 locations in this game, including Eidos 9 (but this is some sort of an extra location because you have to do something certain to unlock it.) And considering how big maps like "The Great Desert" and "The Wasteland" is big. I would say both map sizes and amount of locations available in this game are great. And, the same thing applies for enemy varities. Sure, there could have been a few more but I'd say it's more than enough.

Voice Acting: To be honest, I have preferred Korean voice acting than the English one. The only time I wanted to hear characters in English was when I was doing the Boss Challenge mode to fight against Scarlet from Nikke.

Characters: Every single character I have countered have been amazing. Especially Enya. (Enya my beloved. I was actually surprised there's a plant named "Enya" at the developers room haha. Please take good care of it!) I would advise you to do the side quests and finish side characters stories! I'd say all of them had good stories behind them and they all contributed for me to have even more connection / immersion with this game's universe and its characters.

About TWO Quests: Some people have complained about Eve declining two requests. And it's a bit stupid because one of them is literally asking Eve to bring a drug in secret to Xion, and the other one's asking Eve to kill herself. So, please ignore this.

I like this game so much, and I recommend it! So much that I am doing my 4th hard mode play-through. Definitely looking forward to the sequel when it arrives in the future.

What an amazing underrated gem. You guys should just pick this game up and give it a try. I like the humor of this game, and some crazy guns like acid sprinkler and the flying turret guns (which I believe Insomniac got inspired from their own Ratchet & Clank games because there's a bot called Mr. Zurkon.) I really enjoyed grinding on the rails and causing some havoc while enjoying the OST.

The writing is great, voice acting is great, art style (graphics) of the game is great, soundtrack is great. Plus, all the DLCs are included with this game.

It should take you like 10-11 hours if you want to finish all the stories (the main story + additional missions (not the side quests)). If you are going to play the main story only, it should take you like 7-8 hours.

I hope at some point, Insomniac somehow develops Sunset Overdrive 2.

Length: Inside can be finished in two if not three sessions easily. It won't take more than 3.5 or 4 hours in the worst case scenario.

Difficulty: There are some small puzzles but they are not so difficult. So, it is an easy game.

Controllers: You can easily play it with a keyboard, but you can play easily with a controller too.

Also, for some reason, they have changed interaction button which was left control from their previous game (Limbo) to right control. This was a smart decision on their end. As you can use arrow keys to move and right control to interact. This way, you can just play it with one hand.

Overall Quality: Perfect. I liked the atmosphere of this game.

Similar Games: If you have enjoyed playing Limbo, Little Nightmares, Far Changing Tides & Lone Sails you will enjoy this game.

I recommend it.

Pseudoregalia can be finished in 4-6 sessions. If you are busy, it should take around 6-8 sessions max. (Takes like 5 - 6 hours.)

This game does not hold your hand, you are completely by yourself in this game and you are supposed to explore and obtain abilities and figure out where you have to go. There are also health upgrades and other types of upgrades you can obtain too!

Anyway, I wouldn't have experienced this amazing game if it wasn't for the Humble Bundle and I enjoyed it a lot.

I recommend it.

Battletoads can be finished in two or three sessions if you have time. If not, it will take around 4-6 sessions to play. (Around 5 hours.)

Portal 2 can easily be finished in two sessions. Especially if you have some free time to spend. If not it will take three to four gaming sessions. As the story is longer than the first game with different types of puzzles. It will easily take 5-7 hours to beat the campaign/story.

There are additional levels, and you can make your own levels or download from the Steam Workshop so there is more re-play value to it. Plus, there are additional co-op levels too!

I recommend it.
