Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access to allow our existing audience and other fans of platform fighters to contribute to give us their suggestions and feedback during the development process. As the developers of a high-profile fangame, we're quite experienced with the type of ongoing development cycle that comes with releasing a game in early form.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The initial scope from our Kickstarter campaign included 6 playable characters, 20 assists and 5 stages, which took us approximately 2 years from the launch of Early Access to complete. We’re now focusing on all of the stretch goals we reached in our Kickstarter campaign, which includes more characters and content. We’ll be able to make more precise estimates for when we’ll leave Early Access as we get closer to finishing this content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have more character, assist, and stage content, as well as fleshed out modes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access currently features the following content:

- 8 Playable Characters
- 7 Stages
- 31 Guest Assists
- Rollback Online
- User-Generated Content Online
- Integration with our external content editor, FrayTools
- In-Depth Training Mode”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Purchasing during Early Access will guarantee you a discounted price from the final product. While we will not gradually raise the price during development, when the full version of the game is released the price of the game will be increased to reflect the value of all of the content added from Early Access up to that point.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our goal with Early Access is to involve our players in the development process to help us make Fraymakers the best game it can be. We’re actively working with our community of players who have been helping tune all of our content over the course of Early Access.

We plan to use our players’ feedback to help identify and address bugs, tune gameplay balance, enhance editor functionality and adjust our content focus areas. We’re open to suggestions and willing to make significant changes to Fraymakers based on what our players are looking for. By participating in our communities, you have the opportunity to give valuable feedback with a real, tangible impact on the final product.
