Very bad experience

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with TransIP. My account was blocked due to outstanding invoices, which made it impossible for me to cancel my services myself. Because of this, new invoices kept being generated even though I was unable to access my account or stop the services.

I paid the invoices multiple times just to regain control, but the account remained blocked and more charges continued to appear. Support told me that cancellations could only be processed after payments, but the system never actually allowed me to cancel anything afterwards. I even had to pay some invoices twice. After payment, my account was still blocked. I basically couldn’t use any of the services for months, even though I was paying for them.

On top of that, they involved debt collection agencies while I was unable to access my account or cancel the services, which made the situation even worse.

The situation keeps repeating: more invoices, no access, no clear resolution.

This has been one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had with a company. I hope TransIP reconsiders its policies, because customers should never be trapped in a loop of charges, account blocks, and debt collectors without a way to cancel.

Hello,

I can imagine this was a very unpleasant and frustrating experience.

To be honest, the situation surprises me, because this is absolutely not how we operate. The process around unpaid invoices is fully automated.

If an invoice is not paid, you first receive multiple reminders over the course of several months. If payment is still not made, we eventually block the unpaid services. If payment continues to be outstanding, we then block all services and the account. That is what happened in your case.

However, we do not fully block your account. Certain parts are restricted, but you always retain access to your services (to cancel them) and to your invoices (to pay them). So the statement that you were unable to cancel due to unpaid invoices is not correct. It is possible that something else went wrong on a technical level. I also find it strange that my colleagues would have indicated that payment was required before cancellation.

You also mention that you paid certain invoices multiple times, but that they remained marked as unpaid. That is unusual. Did you make the payments directly via the control panel? I am happy to investigate what went wrong here. If the payments were made manually (via bank transfer), processing can take longer.

The final step in the process is involving a collection agency, but only after months of non-payment, multiple reminders, and service blocks. This step is also automated. In your case, however, something clearly went wrong, since you indicate that the invoices were in fact paid.

Could you please send me a message via your control panel (this section remains accessible even if an account is blocked), addressed to Beau? I will then look into what happened with the payments and why the cancellation did not work as expected.

Do NOT use Transip.

Do NOT use Transip.

I've been there for years, they started out really cool and had decent pricing. Kept raising prices year over year, and with the latest price increase my monthly bills are just absolutely outrageous.

I am going to cheaper domain and hosting(never even used them for that, they were already WAY expensive for what they offer) providers. Domain names are so expensive, it's stupid.

Total scam

I explored web hosting and wanted to try it out with a domain. After forgetting about having the domain I forgot about being registered. A year later I get an email with a deduction of a large amount of money for the domains without notifying me.
Looking at the bill of which %60 percent of the cost is for the .online domain that they sold to me as a package, which I did not needed.
This feels like their business model is luring customers in by appearing cheap and by getting a deal, to later on deduct a large amount of money from my bank account without notifying me.

Hi Ries,

I understand that you found this very unpleasant to experience; that’s unfortunate to hear. That’s absolutely not our intention.

It’s correct that we offer different bundles and discounts. Bundels are always a choice you make yourself. Option 1 is always just the domain with the extension you select. So you never automatically get a .online added, only if you choose it yourself.

If you do opt for a bundle, we can imagine that after a year you might have forgotten about it. That’s why we always send a reminder for the renewal of our bundle domains to the email address you provided in your account. We do this well in advance, giving you plenty of time to cancel before the renewal.

Because we incur direct costs when renewing domains, these costs are passed on to you as a customer.

Despite all this, we’re generally very accommodating when it comes to bundle domains. Could you send a message from your account addressed to Beau Huisman? Then I’ll gladly take a look with you at what we can do regarding the invoice.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Shady Ali Niknam company

Shady price increases and automatic billing. Be careful, they will find a way to overcharge you. They are experts at increasing your bill without you noticing. Only when you take a closer look you see that you've been 'legally' scammed.

Unsurprising because this is an Ali Niknam company.

Pizzeria La Bella da Yuki is the kind of place you fall in love with after the first bite. The pizzas are incredible thin, crisp crust, fresh toppings, and that perfect wood-fired flavor you can’t fake. You can taste the care that goes into everything. Yuki and the team are always welcoming, treating everyone like regulars. Service is quick, friendly, and genuine. The place has that cozy, authentic Italian vibe that makes you want to stay for another slice of pizza. Easily one of the best pizzerias around real food, real people, and pure quality in every slice.

Avoid like the plague !!

Used them for a webdomein name. Was unreachable half the time which really hurt both my business and credibility.

After canceling the website and all things connected to it, i figured it to be fine. Until months after i was hit with a bill and a late fee for the domain, which i had cancelled. Despite having provided evidence (yes evidence) that i had cancelled everything within an hour of each other, they deemed they were entitled to the money for a domain name i had ZERO use for or intention to keep using. And claiming they couldn’t see anything in their system. Sending an agency after me to demand payment.

Terrible service, terrible policies, money hungry and rude staff.

As the title suggests. Avoid like the plague.

Dear Jack, This sounds very dissapointing, while most of our customers indicate that our network is very stable, your experience appears to be different. I can’t determine whether this might be related to your specific settings, especially now that the service has already been cancelled.

Following that, there was an issue with the cancellation process, which unfortunately required us to involve a collections agency.

I’d be happy to personally look into it, if the matter is still unresolved and see how we can assist you further. Please send a message via your control panel addressed to Jip van Veen.

TransIP’s Deceptive Auto-Renewals

TransIP’s Deceptive Auto-Renewals – Know Your Consumer Rights

Review:

TransIP seems to operate with systematic auto-renewal practices that many users find deceptive or hidden. Numerous Trustpilot reviewers have expressed frustration over:

Being charged for automatic renewals without proper notice
Lack of a clear or accessible option to disable auto-renewal in the control panel
Poor customer service and generic, copy-paste responses
A noticeable lack of personalized handling, suggesting an overwhelmed support team and high complaint volume.
These are not isolated incidents. Several reviews (e.g. from January, March, and April 2025) describe similar experiences, warning others about hidden charges and confusing cancellation processes.

If you’ve faced similar issues, here’s what you can do:
You have consumer protection rights under Dutch and EU law. TransIP cannot rely solely on buried terms or unclear interfaces to justify charging you.

You can file a formal complaint with the following authorities:

ACM (Authority for Consumers & Markets – Netherlands)
acm.nl
ConsuWijzer – Dutch consumer advice platform (run by ACM)
consuwijzer.nl
(Click: Klacht indienen tegen een bedrijf)
SIDN – Registry for .NL domains (if domain-related) sidn.nl
These agencies investigate unfair commercial practices, especially in the digital and hosting sectors

Complete lack of clear communication and no solution offered, what a scam!

What a negative experience I had with TransIP!
When I signed up one year ago they offered me a second domain free of charge. I did not need it but I got it just in case.
Along the year I received communications only for the main domain, and as I had to close my project I decide to take the time to deselect the automatic renewal for it with proper time in advance.
To my surprise, I find out that I have been charged for a full year on that secondary domain!
I contacted the customer support immediately but they did not offer any refund for it, despite I explained that there was no communication given for this second domain and that I am requesting a refund as it was not my intention to renew it at all.
What a scam! I am very disappointed and frustrated by the way the situation has been handled by them.
Do yourself a favour and avoid this company at all costs.

TransIP review

I have been a customer of this company for several years, using both hosting packages and VPS with domains. Their technical support is very efficient, although the prices could be lower. Overall, I am satisfied with their services.

Scam site - be careful with your payments

Scam site. My monthly payments went from 2 euros to 9 euros to 25 euros without any real communication. Now they have sent it to a collection agency. I asked for my account to be terminated and they refused saying that i have to manually do it.

Lacking timely communication

They are good with customer support. But like all others, they fall short in renewals. They will let you pay even if you remove your domain te same day as the onvoice. Now i paid for a whole year (way too much to be honest) and I do not have a domain that I can use. Not happy at all.

What a shame to hear that you’ve had negative experiences with service renewals at multiple organizations. I understand that it’s frustrating to be required to pay for a full year when you want to cancel on the invoicing day.

Unfortunately, I can't find an account for you in our system based on the information here, so I can't assess my colleague’s reasoning for not granting a goodwill exception.

Could you send a message from your control panel, addressed to Nico? I’d be happy to take a look and see what we can do for you in this situation. There’s often still something possible.

I hope to hear from you!

TransIP provides a decent service with quick and reliable customer support, often responding within an hour, even during weekends and late evenings. However, they fall short when it comes to notifying customers about renewals, only sending invoices after the renewal costs have been incurred. Their dashboard offers great control but can initially be confusing. While they have corrected billing issues promptly after being contacted, their transition of services like Stack from free to paid without adequate notice is a concern. Overall, a mixed experience balancing effective support and communication issues.

Not recommended

Not recommended, they dont send renewal notification before their service is due, just sending the invoice to pay and require payments saying they had a costs of the renewal and they must be covered. Never seen something like this before. Each registrars sending out renewal notification before the domain or hosting are renewed (weeks before it happens) - they do not .... Be aware of that before you will choose their "services"

Absolutely horrible services. Just pick Godaddy if you are looking for a domain. There are no problems with renewals, reminders and cancellarion even refunds.

I am extremely disappointed with the service and treatment we've received from TransIP. After being a loyal customer since 2015 and consistently paying for your services, we recently faced an unjust termination of our contract and the deletion of all our data without proper notice.

Despite multiple inquiries, we were only given vague references to unspecified sanctions laws as the reason for these actions. We have yet to receive a clear explanation or the specific legal basis for such drastic measures, leaving us in a difficult position.

The customer support has been unhelpful and unresponsive, failing to provide any satisfactory resolution or assistance in recovering our valuable intellectual property. This experience has been deeply frustrating and disappointing.
I do not recommend to anyone looking for reliable and ethical service. Our experience suggests a lack of transparency and accountability that could potentially affect other customers as well. Proceed with caution.

scammers!!!

I purchased one year hosting and domain name for a period of one year. No contract has ever been sent. I paid 12 euros for domain and 2,5 per month for hosting. To my surprise, after that one year they automatically charged me 79 euros for domain and around 10 per month for hosting. I immediately cancelled the subscription but they were still sending me hosting bills.

When I complained about the invoice they sent me another one with fat reduction which I paid to get rid of them.

STAY AWAY!!! Dishonest way of doing business.
Only SCUM operate like this!!!
