Hello!

    Ampersand, as in:

    test & test

    is displayed as:

    test & test

Tried various brushes (plain, bash, shell, powershell, xml, php).

WP 6.8.2 / Plugin 3.7.2. Using classic editor and inserting the plugin shortcode into the HTML code of the post. The standard <code> tag works fine.

    Any workarounds?
    Thanks!

    Hi @babelmandeb,

In the classic editor, are you using the “Visual” or “Text” tab?

If you are using the “Visual” tab on the classic editor, then this is a duplicate of #65. Otherwise, please provide some more information on how to reproduce the issue.

Hi. Thanks for your response. I don’t have anything visual on the editor. I’m using HTML code, this is what the buttons on the toolbar insert.

    Hi @babelmandeb,

Thanks for clarifying! To help us reproduce the issue on our end, could you please share the exact HTML code of the post you’re using when this happens?

Hi. Thanks for the follow up.

This is the entire content of the post
test & test
Looks like WP saves it as
test &amp; test
as soon as I save the draft. I mean this is what I see in the editor after I save.

    Hi @babelmandeb,

Thanks for sharing the code and details. I tested this on my end, and the output appears to be displaying correctly. I’m attaching screenshots here so you can compare with what I’m seeing:

Try deactivating all the plugins on your site temporarily to see if that resolves the issue. If it does, then you can re-enable the plugins one-by-one while watching to see if/when the issue returns.
