Editor role cannot publish a post

    I have created a CPT and all is working ok for administrator.

    The Editor role though cannot update any post. It is shown an error
    “Updating failed. Forbidden access“
    when you hit the update button.

    Did you change the capability type at all with this post type? or did you leave it set as “post”?

    This is a field that we generally leave as a legacy thing that was never fully implemented, but we don’t want to break existing sites. If changing that capability type value, the rest of the roles/capabilities settings need to be implemented via code + our provided filters, to complete.

    Indeed.

    It was a permission issue which resolved using a permission plugin and adjusting the features for editor role.
