%%excerpt%% return full content

    Hi !

    It seems to have a problem with the new version of yoast. I just discover that the %%excerpt%% tag on my post, return the full content in the meta_desc.

    Hello @babouz44

    Thanks for reaching out about the Yoast SEO snippet variables. The %%excerpt%% snippet variable is supposed to pull the post or page excerpt. That is, the contents you put in the Excerpt editing box in WordPress. If you have nothing in there, the variable auto-generated if it does not exist. This snippet variable can then be used in the meta description field in the Yoast SEO meta box.

    However, it’d be helpful if you could send us screenshots of the issue so that we can understand it better.
