My blog has not been cross-posting to my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/50by25). When I publish a post, I get an email that says:

Your post could not be shared on 1 connection

Your post Finding My Stride in the Next Professional Chapter could not be shared on your following connections:

I used the troubleshooter and ended up disconnecting my Facebook connection in Jetpack, but that just resulted in an error on the actual post page (Xposter widget in the sidebar) that said “This account is not authorized to post to any services.” I tried disconnecting it again, then going to Facebook and deleting the connection so it would fully refresh, but that led to the same error.

    Hi @50by25,

Thanks for sharing the issue you’re facing! It sounds like you might be encountering an authentication hiccup with Facebook. Disconnecting it from the Jetpack UI was a great first step. To fully reset the connection, it’s often helpful to reset from Facebook’s end too, here’s a guide to help you do that properly:

Once that’s done, could you please share your site URL? That’ll allow us to take a closer look and help troubleshoot further.

If you’d rather keep this private (since the forum is public), you’re welcome to reach out directly through our contact form. Just be sure to include a link to this discussion so we can pick up where we left off:

If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

    Thanks!

Thank you! I had already tried fully deleting the Facebook connection as well, and that didn’t change anything. My site URL is 50by25.com.

    Hi @50by25

    Thanks for sharing your URL.

I can see that the communication channel between your site and Jetpack is breaking intermittently. When this is happening, you can expect that Jetpack features — such as sharing to Facebook — will fail.

When I test the connection, I see the error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 30002 milliseconds with 0 bytes received

This usually means that your web server is timing out. The cause is often excessive load on your server.

I’d recommend reaching out to your hosting provider and asking them to check the load on your server. It may be that your account is exceeding its resources.

Once that is addressed, let us know, and we can test the connection again.

    Hi there, @50by25,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!
