• Good evening.

    I would like to report that in version 2.5.8 of the theme there is a serious problem that generates a fatal error.
    In the file /sydney/inc/extras.php on line 715 there is a require_once of the file wptt-webfont-loader.php but the vendor folder is NOT PRESENT either in the root or in the inc folder.

    Please fix this issue as soon as possible.

    Thank you.
    Davide

  • I confirm this error. Appeared directly after upgrading to 2.58

    Hi @shecky and @divmondes,

    Thanks for the report.

    We’ve just released v2.59 which fixes the issue. Please go to Dashboard > Updates > Themes and update the theme, then let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.

    My client’s website is currently being restored from a previous version because of a critical error related to the Sydney Theme update 2.5.8 earlier today, Oct 9, 2025.

    Hi @rosemarymur123,

    We’ve just released v2.59 which fixes the issue. Please go to Dashboard > Updates > Themes and update the theme, then let us know how it goes.

    Thanks.

    2.5.8 – fatal error
    2.5.9 – lost all formatting/customisations

    Disappointing

    What can be done to restore what I had before?

    Many thanks

    Hey @supportfromrichard,

    Can you explain what exactly have you lost so we can look into it? Thanks.

    Many thanks for the reply

    Ok. – some improvement

    I rolled back when the 2.58 was issued but the new the update to me back to 2.58 – now at 2.59. So that is good news.

    Lost men/header & Footer customisation – I guess I will. now need to build this with the new features/formatting? Can I switch back to old header and footer features customisation?

    @supportfromrichard I believe I know what you’re saying, your issue seems to be with the rollback rather than with the update (2.59). You were using the old header/footer and when you rollbacked you were migrated to the Header and Footer Builder.

    You can switch to the old header/footer by:
    1. install Code Snippets or WPCode
    2. add this PHP code:
    $modules = get_option('sydney-modules');
    $modules['hf-builder'] = false;
    update_option('sydney-modules', $modules);
    3. run it once and then feel free to delete the plugin if you don’t need it.

    Could you please tell me the plugin you used to rollback?
