Hi @krokette,
I visited your linked site with an Android/Chrome device set to French and the credit card button for example was displayed with a French label. Other languages are working for me as well, so we will perform some more tests with other devices/browsers.
Do you experience this behavior using the Safari browser, or also with other browsers?
Currently, there is no way to set a default language in the plugin as PayPal will automatically determine the system language, but I will consult with our developers to see if we could manually override it.
Kind regards,
Niklas
Hi @niklasinpsyde,
I experience this behaviour using Safari and Chrome (both with iOS).
Thank you.
Sebastian
Hello @krokette
please let us have a few more tests. Can you please delete your browser cache and try it again?
Thank you
Kind regards
Andreas
Hi @aweissinpsyde,
I’ve just cleared my browser cache but same results (Safari and Chrome with iOS).
Thank you.
Hello @krokette
I made a few tests and was able to reproduce this behavior. These buttons are coming directly from PayPal and I will talk to our devs about what we can do here.
Thank you
Kind regards
Andreas
Hello @krokette
I was testing this situation as well and could reproduce it as well (on an Android phone). Somehow only the English and Dutch forms were translated correctly for me. Then I decided to deactivate all plugins and themes on my site and (don’t ask me why), now also German and French are working for me.
Could you try the same and see if that does the trick for you?
Also: if the issue only occurs on your phone, you might have a translation addon active on that device that might change the language. This can be differently set up per website. Simple cause, so just checking that you checked this option as well.
The only thing that doesn’t get translated now is the “Place order” button that we are already aware of and have a ticket opened for.
Please let me know if you get any different results by doing this.
Kind regards,
Joost
