Jetpack Boos fails to load Speed Score on all devices

Can it berelated to the Site Health critical issue? ”Autoloaded options are configuration settings for plugins and themes that are automatically loaded with every page load in WordPress. Having too many autoloaded options can slow down your site. Your site has 664 autoloaded options (size: 2 MB) in the options table, which could cause your site to be slow. You can review the options being autoloaded in your database and remove any options that are no longer needed by your site.”

Hey @planomo – I was checking your issue and in our system I see on 25th March, new site speed score from Jetpack Boost is successfully generated for Desktop and Mobile devices. Could you please confirm if you are still having the same issue? If yes, do you see any error also when you go to the Jetpack » Boost section, or the error only appears in your Site Health?

    Hello Animesh,

I was disabling my plugins to see if that might be causing Jetpack Boost to fail, and I found that when Jetpack is disabled, Jetpack Boost works properly. Right now, I have to keep Jetpack disabled for JP Boost to function. I’m not sure what to do about this—should I try reinstalling Jetpack? Also, the Site Health error remains the same:“Having too many autoloaded options can slow down your site. Your site has 664 autoloaded options (size: 2 MB) in the options table.” I haven’t been able to find much information on this issue. Do you have any recommendations on how to resolve it?

    thank you, Diana

    Hey @planomo!

I was disabling my plugins to see if that might be causing Jetpack Boost to fail, and I found that when Jetpack is disabled, Jetpack Boost works properly.

This shouldn’t happen as both plugins are compatible to each other. Could you please try to uninstall the Jetpack plugin and reinstall the fresh copy from the Plugins » Add New Plugin section and let us know if it is working for you?

Also, the Site Health error remains the same:“Having too many autoloaded options can slow down your site. Your site has 664 autoloaded options (size: 2 MB) in the options table.”

The message I think concerns the database table options, which is used by WordPress. You can check about this more in details here and here (this also shows how to disable autoload option). However in order to get guidance in the right direction on how to resolve the issue, you can also post this question separately in the WP.org forum here.

    Hi Animesh,

I’ve reinstalled Jetpack, but nothing has changed. I also reinstalled Jetpack Boost, but the issue remains—it still doesn’t work when Jetpack is enabled.

Additionally, I updated to the latest PHP version as recommended by Bluehost, but that didn’t resolve the issue either.

I haven’t addressed the autoload issue in Site Health yet, as I don’t believe it’s directly related to the Jetpack Boost problem.

    What else should I try?

    thank you. Diana

    Hi @planomo,

Thanks for the update and for trying those steps — I really appreciate the effort you’ve already put in!

To better understand what’s happening, could you let me know what you see when you visit Jetpack → Boost with Jetpack enabled?

    For example:

    • Does the Speed Score section appear, but stay stuck on “Calculating…”?
    • Does it show an error or message?
    • Or is the whole section missing or broken?

If you’re able to share a screenshot of what you see on that page with Jetpack active, that would help a lot. I want to make sure we’re seeing the same thing so we can dig into the right part of the problem.

If you’d rather not share the screenshot here, feel free to contact us privately via this form:

Just mention this forum thread and attach the screenshot there.

Once I know more about what’s happening in the Boost settings view, I’ll help guide the next steps — we’ll figure this out together!

    Best!

    Hi Alin,

when Jetpack is enabled, Jetpack Boost shows Failure to Load and the two stripes of Jetpack Boost just do not appear at all (those that show mobile and desktop performance).

with the disabled jet back JP boost works

    thank you

Howdy @planomo – thank you for sharing that update. I looked into your Jetpack connection and it seems everything is still looking good, I also ran a few sync tests that passed.

The key thing here is that Jetpack and Jetpack Boost should work together without any issues as they are built to work together. We are interested in seeing what you are seeing on your end, could you please reach out to us directly so that we can investigate more thoroughly? You can contact us here:
