Hello,

I’m noticing a strange login redirect issue tied to Paid Member Subscriptions. The issue happens when paid members attempt to log in. The user enters their credentials correctly, but is then redirected to a WordPress page saying there has been an error, and the user is prompted to create a WordPress account. If the user goes back to our site’s login page and re-enters their credentials, then the login finally works.

I was able to replicate the issue with a test account and have attached screenshots.

What I’ve tried:

• I enabled ‘Redirect Default WordPress Pages’ within the plugin settings, but that sent me through a login loop to the point I had trouble accessing the Admin Dashboard.
• I disabled WordPress SSO and confirmed the plugin is configured correctly to the best of my knowledge. I have no caching plugins that I know of.
• I moved into my staging site which replicates the issue and disabled as many plugins as I’m able aside from the membership plugin. None of them are causing the redirect issue.
• I changed to the Twenty Twenty Four theme but am still encountering the issue. It seems like a cookie/caching issue, but I can’t say for sure.WordPress.com is my host server, so I’ve started a case with them to see if there’s any server-caching enabled that may be causing the problem.

I figured I’d ask here to cover all bases in case I missed anything. I did peruse the forum for any posts of a similar problem but didn’t see anything.
