• I created this WordPress site years ago in my typical fashion: “LearnByGrope”. When I installed it on my host it ended up in domain/wp. I don’t know why. Is there a way I can move the entire site to “domain” (i.e. eliminate the /wp attribute… I don’t even know what follows the slash ( ” / ” ) is even called.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Check in the General section of Settings from the admin menu.

There are two options there: WordPress Address and Site Address. I suspect your site address has /wp included at the end. If you remove it, that should fix this issue.

After changing, visit the Permalinks to make sure they get updated, and you may need to clear cache as well to see these updates reflected

As a very big note… The methods above will work, but they are not correct.

Just moving files and changing those values will not change everything on the site that needs to be changed.

For the full and proper instructions, look a Migrating WordPress for the way to do it correctly.

    1. kindly check the document root of your domain name
    2. make sure the files was in the document root of your domain. just move the files if you need
    3. update the home and site url. you can update that under general in wp or in your cpanel > phpmyadmin

This happened to me on several sites I took over, and in order not to complicate things (I like KISS principle), I used my migration plugin (All in one), and transferred sites from /wp folder to root hosting/domain folder, meaning from http://MoneyDelusions.com/wp to http://MoneyDelusions.com in your case.
