I recently created a new wordpress blog and installed Yoast SEO and I noticed that canonical URL is missing from the page source code.

Is there something wrong with my settings?

When Yoast SEO is not activated, the canonical url exists, when it is activated, the canonical url disappears.

Hello there. check to see if the page has a noindex tag. Yoast do not output a canonical tag if the page is marked as noindex

Hello @tonyzyc,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. As @adminalje correctly mentioned, if your page is set to noindex, there will be no canonical URL output. It would be helpful if you could provide the URL of the affected blog post.
