Changed back to 2.7.6 and working like a charm again 😉 Still hoping though there will be an up to date solution in the future,
Same for me, I downgraded the plugin to 2.7.6 on all my 6 sites. I use Genesis framework.

The new version is not working for me either. I downloaded the older version as suggested and I got this error message:
The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Hi Idazilma,
Instead of installing the .zip file in wordpress, you have to extract the .zip file manually on your computer. Inside this .zip you will find the file ‘seo-friendly-images.php’. Upload this file into the folder of the plugin (probably: /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/seo-image). You have to replace the existing version of this file on your server.

Will try the roll back and update this later…
Rolled back and it worked pretty good…just not in a lightbox gallery it didn’t work, but on the thumbnail it did.

I did upload the .php file. I still got the same message.
It’s called ‘seo-friendly-images.php’. Size 12KB. Is this correct?
I don’t see anything that says ‘/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/seo-image’.
What am I doing wrong? Is there screenshots for this because I’m so lost.

Hi ldazilma,
To which directory did you upload if I may ask? And how did you upload it?
You need to have access to your server for uploading the specific file. You can’t do this inside wordpress itself (like you would when installing a new plugin).
