What am I supposed to do here? I don’t remember the social login being this difficult to set up in the past..

    Hi @mdc2957

Meta has shifted to providing their service to businesses, which also means they have stricter guidelines in order to be able to use their APIs.

What you see is them asking how you are using the Facebook Login product on your website, and how they can verify that. You can let them know it is for a social login plugin on your website, which uses the retrieved data to register/update WordPress users on your website, and allows quick login for these accounts, and provide a link where they can view the social login.

They may ask for further information if they cannot verify that you are using their APIs according to their rules, in which case you need to address their problems they mention. Since your App is not verified/public yet, only users that have a specific role set for them in your App can use the Facebook social login. This also means that the given Meta representative may not be able to test the social login. If they ask you for this, you need to provide them with a test account that has a role set for them in your App (e.g. Tester). As of now it is not possible to make test users for new Apps:
    https://developers.facebook.com/docs/development/build-and-test/test-users/
but this ability should be restored if Meta asks for it. You can also try and register a Facebook account manually, and add that to the App in this case, if the ability to create test users is still not possible at that moment.

I went through all the questions and stuff they asked, pretty ridiculous if you ask me! Seems everything was approved. I tested the buttons and they’re all working, so I think everything is in place. Google and X were a lot easier to set up than Facebook.
