Hi @summerfeeling,
thank you for reporting this issue.
The WP Mail SMTP reports are sent via a background task, but the task itself also checks if this setting is enabled before the email is sent. So it looks like the setting in the Misc tab did not save correctly?
Could you please go to “WP Mail SMTP > Tools > Scheduled Actions (tab)” and see if you can spot this task with hook name: wp_mail_smtp_summary_report_email. Is it in the “pending” state?
Could you please try to disable the “Disable Email Summaries” checkbox in Misc settings, then save the settings, enabled it again, and save the settings again.
Then refresh the Scheduled Actions page and see if the task is still in the pending state?
Let me know how it goes.
Take care!
Hello,
first of all many thanks for the really exemplary and fast answer. (:
I have now done everything as you suggested. The original cron was canceled and a new one created. Here is a screenshot:
https://prnt.sc/1lrz7fg
Can I now expect that no more mails come?
Many greetings & take care. (:
Hi @summerfeeling,
based on the screenshot, it looks like the wp_mail_smtp_summary_report_email task is not in the pending state and the summary emails should not send in the future.
You can double-check the one “Pending” task, to make sure it’s not wp_mail_smtp_summary_report_email and you are good to go π
Thank you for letting us know about this issue and have a nice day!
Hi @capuderg,
awesome. (: Thank you very much for this great support. Do I have to correct this manually on almost 130 web pages or can you fix this in an update?
Hi @summerfeeling,
we just released the v3.0.3, which should resolve your issues.
So, update to this latest version on your sites and the summary emails should not be sent next week on Monday at 2pm.
Thank you for your patience and have a nice day!
Hi @capuderg,
