Share count no longer working
-
Share count is no longer working for almost 2 weeks. The problem exists on two different sites with different configuration. We tried Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn.
Does share count still work for anybody here?

Facebook’s public share counts API has had an issue recently with some sites. Use the “Scrape Again” on Facebook’s Sharing Debugger to bring back a page’s share counts.
Twitter and LinkedIn stopped offering share counts years ago.
I have the same problem, almost 2 weeks.
Please explain how the link your provided to the scaper should work. The landing page is the debug section.
For example, it shows 22 shares for Interview with an Apartheid policeman, assassin and Stratcom operative
And 119 shares for The suffering ‘Ostriches’ of Oudtshoorn
So FB is scraping but Add to Any is showing zero on my website.
Help much appreciated.
@wickedmike “Debug” button > “Scrape Again” button. The “Scrape Again” button fixes Facebook’s API issue.
Sorted.
Only one was fixed last time, this time all of them.
Thanks!
@micropat Counting also does not work for newly published articles. You suggest we do this manually for every new page? Besides, we have several thousand pages. How is this supposed work?
I also have several thousand articles and individually scrapping them, and immediately scrapping new ones after publish, seems unreasonable. It has been several weeks now.
It is safe to say that this feature is totally broken and it should be removed or fixed.
