Shipping Rate – Miscalc

    For anyone else who experience a MAJOR shipping miscalc in v 9.0.1 around 27th Jun 24 then its caused by the , or . settings in Woocommerce>Settings>Currency Options. Depending on what you have in those fields the login in that version of the plugin reversed the processing of the seperators.

    Workaround was to round shipping rates up to no decimals until I realised what the cause was. Looks like the code is being rolled back in Woocommece V 9.0.2

    Hi @freddredirl,

    Thanks for sharing that info. As you mentioned, that issue started happening in WooCommerce 9.0.0 (and was still present in 9.0.1), due to the fix for a different bug related to separators and Free Shipping. Because of the potential impact of the behavior you described, a developer advisory blog post was published.

    You are also correct about the change being reverted in version 9.0.2. Updating to that version will return the separator functionality to the way it worked in WooCommerce 8.9.3 and earlier.
