We know the plugin hasn’t seen much development in recent years, but good there’s news because that’s changing!

Work is now underway to bring the official Cloudflare WordPress plugin up to date, with a focus on improving reliability, compatibility, and overall performance. We’ll be addressing longstanding issues, updating for modern PHP versions, and improving integration with other popular plugins.

Any idea on a timeframe? I am working on a site that I would like to use Cloudflare Turnstile on.

I would just suggest to make sure that custom post type edits can be purged on changes. I think there is an issue where CPT single post caches are not busted correctly after edit / save actions, but I have not confirmed this.

@dljordaneku We can’t give you a timeline currently, unfortunately. That said, our first priority is making the plugin compatible with modern PHP versions and such. Including Turnstile is currently not on the radar for this plugin.

@hongpong Once we have the plugin fully up-to-date, we’ll be looking at improving functionality accross the board. Making cache busting accurate is definitely one of the things that has a high priority.

    Hi,

Great to see updates are coming. I’d suggest some links in the WP admin bar with options like:

    • Purge Page
      • Purges the page you’re currently viewing
    • Purge Parent
      • Purges the parent (if available) of the page you’re currently viewing
    • Purge Parent + Children
      • Purges the parent and any children (if available) of the page you’re currently viewing

…or something like that, kind of similar to what W3TC does.

@markshall We’ll first need to overhaul the entire cache control logic, but something like this is for sure planned, yes.
