In reply to: [GeneratePress] Menu not expanding on mobileI’m not seeing where to put that information in. When I edit a menu item, I see navigation label, menu parent, menu order, buttons to move up, down, under Welcome, and to the top, and a link to view the About Us page, but don’t see anything about redirecting.
Thanks for the attention to the accessibility issues. I will ask about progress with that in a few months.
I am still having problems with PayPal though. I am not sure if this is a problem with our PayPal configuration or with the way the plugin works, but I can’t get PayPal to prompt for a password. I switched the field from sandbox to live mode with no change in result. The links you described a couple posts up that provide you with different ways to check out do show up, it’s when I click on PayPal where the behavior is unexpected. I enter my email address and click next, but instead of recognizing my email address as one already associated with an account, it prompts me to pay with a debit or credit card and has me enter my phone number as if I don’t have a PayPal account. What’s the problem?
Hi Jair,
- Thank you for pointing this out. I think I did actually do this on our contact form, but forgot about it on this form.
- Since the name field question has been answered above, this question has become erelevant, but since you asked about drag and drop, I will take this opportunity to point out several accessibility issues with the form builder. First, there should be some alternative to drag and drop for keyboard only users. Second, the controls for enabling and disabling fields are not set up in the most accessible way. Not only does my screen reader not tell me whether a particular option is enabled or disabled, but I missed the extended name field because when tabbing through the options, my screen reader completely skipped that option because it’s not a proper HTML or aria element. There are elements like this all over the field options interface.
- Thank you for providing clarification on how the PayPal stuff works. My client also just texted me wondering about this. We’ve been through that interface several times over the last week, so I think I know where to find this.
Thanks, that’s kind of what I thought. I’ll play around with some things and open a new thread if I have anymore questions.
It’s pretty simple really. As you can see, I have three length fields that while they look the same to the user, have different calculations. As you can also see, each field has conditional logic that tells the form which of those fields to show based on what order type is chosen. So, if someone chooses a basic podcast edit and then 25 minutes, they should be charged $30. If I configured this right this morning, that should be set up now, but then how do I include the other order types in my calculation? That’s what I’m not sure about, as the calculation currently only shows the first radio field.
Okay, I think I’ve partially figured it out, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. In my case, there’s only one possible calculation that should be run per submission, so should I add one calculation field per order type field?
I think I fixed it. The from and reply to headers were not configured, so I’m assuming that’s why it wasn’t sending. I just added a confirmation notification to her form and I got that from a test submission.

In reply to: Audio player controls not accessibleHow would I contact the WordPress developers about this?

In reply to: putting HTML into WordPressWhat happened to the other replies here? I did manage to use the custom HTML block, and that worked. I may look into a plugin to make the process simpler, but this actually works pretty well.
Thanks, that will work for us.
I can easily explain that here. My site is radiosoundsandthoughts.com. I built and set up that site myself earlier this year, and that’s the one which I can tell the WordPress account Jetpack is connected to. The site I need help with is wcbinfo.org. I’m going to guess based on available evidence that we’ve been using WordPress there since 2016, but I only got access to it last year and have started cleaning things up.
Happy new year to you as well. Strangely, on my site, Jetpack says connected as Bob Cavanaugh, Owner, but on WCB’s it just says connected. What’s up with this?

In reply to: form for building a page and HTML imagesOkay, I see where you’re going with this. That’s not exactly what I was getting at though. Have you looked at what we currently have on the page I linked to in this thread? If possible, we would like to keep that layout, but we’re also in need of a solution that would make that page easier to update. Also, I’m a bit confused as to how you envision where the links to the Word, PDF, and audio versions go in this scenario.

In reply to: form for building a page and HTML imagesI would have to check with the rest of the team on how things are currently done. Right now, I’m on our Communications Committee, which is who manages the website. Newsline is a separate committee, and I’m really not sure what their process is. What they ultimately come out with is a Word document, a PDF file, an HTML document that apparently doesn’t contain images, and an audio version. With the likely exception of the audio, would the plugins you reference be able to keep our archive page up to date? That’s another issue we are having, nobody likes to edit the page where all of these issues are linked from, which is also the page I linked to in this thread.
