What I mean is, have you got any hidden categories set up?
On my blog I couldn’t work out why I set it to show the last 20 posts, but only 5 showed up. It was because 15 were updates and resources and team-member bios that were sent to other pages.

Your archive path will probably something like /httpdocs/ – the folder that your main WP files (index.php etc) are in.
If your site is bobsuruncle, you’d need to go to http://www.bobsuruncle/wp-admin/import-blogger.php – at the bottom of that page is a “GO” button. When you’ve done everything else you need to press it. It’s that which actually imports the posts.
Your blog filename can become anything you want. My became something like blogger.html – not the same as wordpress.php.

Go into your phpmyadmin, and click on “Databases.” Then click on the name of ur database.
Click the “Browse” icon next to wp_users. Click the edit icon next to admin – should be first button on first row (like a notepad).
Change it. Go down to the bottom and click “GO.”

Did you go back to the blogger-import instructions and click “Go”? Alternatively, did you correctly change *everything* – inc. date format?

So you want people to be able to comment – from the single-page permalink – but not to show the number of comments under each post? Is that right?
You should just be able to take out the following:

That should do it, I think! (But always back-up first before any changes; that way I can’t be sued!)

rboren, how would/could I adapt that for posts-by-author?

Beel, does this work in 1.3? Also, would it work for categories and posts by author? (I’m guessing they would take rewrite rules?)
