That solved the problem. Thank you. Should I re-enable 100% width?
Yes. I have also cleared cache in my browser and tried multiple browsers but the problem persists.
Yes. I have adjusted the dimensions of the slideshow in MetaSlider “main options” to match the static photo’s size but those changes are not appearing in the saved slideshow.
I increased the WP Memory to 512M. Updraftplus still will not perform a backup. In order to get and update for MySQL my sites will have to be moved to a different server that has that version installed. This should happen in a day or so. Stay tuned.
Nope. I am also having problems getting Ninja Forms to work. Ninja support has recommended that I increase WP-Memory to 256M and update MySQL to the latest version. I have not yet figured out how to do that but when I do, I will post the result.
The whitelist has been added. I will test and get back to you.
I have passed that information on to Hostgator support. I will keep you posted.
Specifically, what should I ask Hostgator to do?
I will try to get the mod_security exception but I doubt it will be helpful as all my other sites that are hosted on the same server can be backed up with Updraftplus without issue.
I do not know what “mod_security is I am on a shared servicer from Hostgator. They call my plan a “Baby Plan”.
I deactivated all the plugins except for Updraft Plus. This did not have any affect. Next I switched to the 2525 theme. Same result.
Thanks, I installed the recommended plugin and the classic Widgets now appear as an option under “appearance”. Unfortunately, the home page which was built using those widgets does not seem to be connected to the widgets page that can be accessed under appearance. There are several other similar plugins available. Do you think that one of them might bring back the former functionality of the widgets on my home page? https://snake-wranglers.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
Is this just something that I will have to live with on this site now? My other sites which were built using the classic widgets do not have this problem.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Remote fetch failedI have the same problem as described in the first post. My site is corrupted and blocked by anti-virus apps. I have successfully logged into my admin and attempted to restore a backup that I believe to be good. Unfortunately, the program got hung up trying to upload the backup from wherever it is stored.
I then successfully uploaded the backup files from my Dropbox storage. They appear on the “existing backups” page as having been uploaded. Now what do I do? I do not see any button that will start the restoration process using these uploaded files.
Thanks in advance for any help.
