PLAYING RESIDENT EVIL ON THE OMNI ONE

Playing Resident Evil 2 Remake in full-body VR with the Omni One means physically running and dodging your way through Raccoon City. Amazing for immersion, but a real problem when zombies make you panic especially when your own legs get involved.

The Omni One isnt your typical VR gadget. Its basically an omnidirectional platform that lets you move in 360 degrees inside the game: walk, run, crouch, or turn using your own body, not a joystick.
Here, you dont push a stick you actually run. You dont press a button to dodge you move out of the way. And when something jumps at you, your reaction isnt your fingersits your entire body trying to get the hell out of there.

And thats where things get serious. Because a horror game like Resident Evil 2 in VR hits completely different. The zombies arent on a screen anymoreyouve got them right in front of you, full scale, invading your personal space. And when the game forces you to react physically, the tension goes through the roof.
Of course, theres a downside too. Not just the price or the space the setup needs, but the fact that your brain knows its just a game while your body isnt so sure.

End result: a brutal experience, next-level immersion and a pretty good chance youll end up running like crazy, tripping, or straight-up panicking like Raccoon City is real.
