You can connect your Meta ad account to Canva Grow when you share/publish an ad or other social media design or access the Ad insights dashboard for the first time. You can also connect multiple ad accounts in the top-left account dropdown in the Insights tab. When you click the “Connect ad account” button, you will be asked via a pop up to log into your Meta account and choose which Pages you manage that you want to connect.

While all users can browse the Inspire ad library for free, access to the AI ad generator is limited for free accounts. If you want to access most of Canva Grow’s AI ad generation features, you’ll need to upgrade to a Pro, Business, or Enterprise Account. Only Business and Enterprise users can access ad insights, with limits on the number of creatives that can be analyzed.

Like with any other Canva project, you can add teammates and collaborators to work with you on your ads. That said, the features that you can access will depend on your account type (i.e., Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise), not the account of the person who added you to the design.

At present, Canva makes no copyright claim over any content you generate using Canva Grow. Between you and Canva, you own the designs you generate with Canva Grow, which is subject to you following our AI Product Terms. In turn, you give Canva the right to host your AI output on our platform.

However, please note that this does not mean you are the copyright owner of the AI output or that you have exclusive rights to it.

Yes, you can use the designs generated by our ad creator for any purpose, including personal or commercial projects, as long as you follow our AI Product Terms and Terms of Use.

Keep in mind that if you’re going to use AI output for your commercial projects, you may not have exclusive rights to your AI-generated designs. It’s your responsibility to ensure that your AI-generated design is suitable for commercial use. This includes determining whether permission is required to depict works of art, photographs, trademarks, or logos, and if you need to disclose that the content is AI-generated.

Please be mindful that Canva doesn’t guarantee that the AI-generated images, designs, and text you generate are cleared for use (particularly if the image or design you create looks like someone else’s work).
