On average, floor decals last about two years, although that will depend on where you place them. If it’s in a high-traffic area or an area that’s frequently used, you might need to replace it sooner.

These are the steps on how to install floor decals:

1. Before you begin, make sure your floor is fully dry and flat, otherwise your decal will have issues sticking and might not fully adhere to that surface. 
2. Position the decal where you think you’d like it, making sure you try a few different spots on the floor first. 
3. Use tape to mark the area as a guide, making sure each side is marked clearly so you know what direction your decal is facing on the floor.
4. Slowly remove the backing layer from half of the decal and press the design down firmly onto the floor, using a decal squeegee (or a hard object wrapped in microfibre cloth) to work from the top down to the bottom.  
5. Take your time to avoid air bubbles, but if they occur, gently smooth them out.
6. Once you’ve smoothed half of your decal onto the floor, slowly remove the backing of the remaining half and repeat the process. Make sure you work slowly!
7. Avoid cleaning the area for 24 to 48 hours after you’ve finished installation to let the design fully adhere to the floor.

Start by using your fingers to peel the majority of it from the floor. If you need help getting grip, use a card or a thin, hard surface to get between the vinyl and the floor. After the decal has been removed, use adhesive remover or a cloth with soapy water to gently remove any remnants.
