At Canva, there is no minimum order quantity, so you can make as many or as little gift certificates to share with your customers.

Both have a set value that can be used to purchase products or services. However, the difference between them is mainly in how they are presented physically. As a general rule, gift certificates are usually made of paper or cardboard, while gift cards are made of plastic, and usually have a barcode.

The main difference is that gift certificates act as a cash alternative and vouchers work as a redeemable discount (for example, 10% or 25%) on a product or a service.

For a standout custom gift certificate, make sure your design includes:

• Your brand logo or design
• What the certificate is for (be that an amount or a service)
• The value of the gift certificate
• Contact information of your business
• The expiration date
• A unique code so you can track it without a spreadsheet
• A special message, if you like

Above all else, make sure the information and your design is clear, concise and makes an impact.

There are two different sizes available for custom gift certificates. What size you choose depends on your business and your intended use. A6 sits at 5.5 × 4.25 inches, a fantastic size for general use including personal and professional gifts. A5 gift certificates are 7.1 × 5.5 inches in size, and can be used for bolder designs including corporate gifts and prizes.

Our custom gift certificates are available in premium and deluxe paper stocks. Our Premium paper stock is of 216-300 gsm weight and provides more durability than regular paper. In contrast, our Deluxe paper stock is thicker at 300-350 gsm weight and has a more luxurious feel.

Of course! We design all our gift card templates ready for double-sided printing. You can customize both sides of a pre-made template or create one from scratch.

Envelopes are available for gift certificates, but you’ll need to add them to your order at an additional cost.
