The montage was supposed to take place between “Popular” and the classroom scene where Doctor Dillamond gets fired, and pieces of it were used in Wicked: For Good, where we see Fiyero, Galinda, Elphaba, Nessa, and Boq, the five of them running around, hanging out,” and being friends,” per Bowen.
“You were supposed to see Jonathan Bailey in his full shirtless glory, flexing, and then Boq being insecure and wanting to look hot too, like take his shirt off. But then it’s like, ‘Oh, wait, Ethan’s got a great body,’” Bowen said during an appearance on the Just Trish podcast.
You can check out the full two minute montage scene here, thanks to Entertainment Tonight.
Wicked: For Good will be available to buy or rent digitally, with deleted scenes and a sing-a-long, on December 30th!
